Why doesn't Prince put energy into a solo album by Ida Nielsen?

This woman is TALENTED!!! And she is gorgeous.....what if Prince put as much energy behind her as he did Andy Allo and Bria Valente? That is an album I would love to hear....

I think some of his band members are content being band members and not becoming proteges. Pretty much all of them have released music recently.
When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

She released a CD in November 2011(which the OP didn't bother to support due to lack of Prince influence.).

As I indicated, I bought it. I like to support the artists...
It was my fault, tho, because I assumed that because she is a bass player, it would be "smooth" like Rhonda Smith's albums. I was wrong... doh!

So she does sing? I'm just wondering what kind of record it is, pop, jazz...

Considering the samples there seems to be lots of funk (even hip hop) on there. Maybe comparable to some stuff Candy Dulfer is doing.

I think his musicians know better than to ask him to record and produce a full album: they work for him, they wouldn't want to sound like they're trying to take advantage of it, even though I'm sure he'd be happy to contribute a guitar part here or background vocals there on a solo project they'd do without him. A small cameo is one thing, now producing a whole album? Naw. I think Prince is the guy who comes to you for these kind of things, not the guy you ask anything to, unless maybe ur name is Larry Graham or Chaka Khan or Patti Labelle, these kind of folks who Prince can consider as elders or equals...

Andy obviously never asked him for nothing, nor did Bria or Tamar or anyone else since maybe the 80's. He came to them. He chose them. He offered them an album and of course, they said yes.
