I just watched her Jimmy Kimmel video.I'm guessing she had "zero" input on the direction of her music.

This is not 1984.Prince is 54.He can't even write a new hit for himself or maybe he's not trying to write hit's.Why didn't he pen a song like "Rasberry Beret" for her?

Either way, I feel sorry for this girl.Nobody in her age group is gonna take her serious as an artist.

The only reason people will show up to her concert is in hope that Prince might be there.

Without Prince, this girl would be singing in a casino cover band.

Andy doesn't do much for me,either.I guess I'm sorta over the whole "Prince protege" thing,where he finds a pretty,light-skinned woman and tries to make her a star This worked in the 80s but not anymore.Nobody cares about these people.

Who said she was even pretty? She could do with getting a couple of burgers down her. If it were up to me I'd shove em down the back of her panties and kick her up the arse. Talent? She makes a mess of miming, let alone plugging her in.

I big to differ.Look at his previous 2 protege albums.. no funk songs with horns.. My guess is Andy wanted to make funk songs and asked prince to go that direction for a few songs. As for the acoustic songs, well shes been doing those before 2.. Saying she had zero input and wrote nothing is exageration... I'd agree if this was a post about Bria but Andy is in a different league..

How can Prince rewrite songs such as "raspberry beret" or "when doves cry" for himself or another one? These were part of a Very Prolific era; he's through other states of mind nowadays, she's definetely his "Protégée", I may believe also that he is her conductor..

She'll find her way through this jungle, with the help of such a Big Artist as Prince and by covering others' classic then she'll have her own material;

According to me, she's not as a "Barbie DOll" playing around Prince, she's a musician, we need to give a chance to brand new artists..

She's only 22 and listening to some of her own pre P stuff it is clear that she knows how to write a decent tune / lyrics, can play guitar and has a bloody brilliant voice. The album is a joy to listen to...if this was a new artist we'd all be on here saying P needs to work with her!!.

Some songs aren't bad, but she is nothing to get excited about. I'd less biased in judging her, if I knew Prince is supporting her cause of her real talent, but I know he is not. It's just his crush. He has so many talented female musicians in his band that get no mention or support whatsoever, and these ladies are more talented than his protegee.

I mean if people like her voice etc. that's obviously great, but I don't need Prince to tell me what I gotta be listening, what's hip etc, and define what I am supposed to like. I also see no reason in supporting somebody cause I am a Prince fan.
