People Pleaser full video link at.... http://www.youtube.com/wa...e=youtu.be
via AA's email. Love it, simple performance vid but nice and busy, set is well lit, band given lots of profile. AA looks super cute!! Great job. [Edited 11/8/12 6:08am]

I got the email too, at 4am Alaska time. There were only 4 views when I got there. I think it's excellent, so glad thus is finally arriving. I wish her much success. "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..."

i LOVE THE SONG
I really like the lyrics & muscic.
She'll be a star in no time.
Well, she already is a star of course, but the rest of the world will realize that too, very soon.
She rocks and is going to be on top 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I quite like the song, but it plods like a motherfucker, radio edit would be nice.

From my post on the other thread. It's cool but I kinda agree with others that her voice is kinda annoying the way she's singing. Also is it an Andy Allo video or NPG video? They are in it more then her....finally the song is about 1 minute too long. The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
Remember there is only one destination and that place is U All of it. Everything. Is U.

agreed on the length of the song, it seem to drag on a bit too long and not go anywhere. Still one of the better tracks to come out the associated stable.

actually, who wrote this song?, was it AA or P? or one of those where the writer is credited as writer but it was actually P !

A fantastic track!
Prince's best funk production since F.U.N.K imo and the best horn arrangements he's done in forever!
Allo is picking up a funk attitude well and i like her as an individual, but i'm not entirely sold on her voice in a funk environment yet.
The video is cool and slick and you can tell it's done by Prince. I loved the Morris Day esq interactions via the band! This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

It was ok, not as good as I expected, I think she's beautiful but not so hot as a singer imo.

I really like it. Now all they need to do is advertise it properly...it's got 304 views so far. There may be hope for this project.

Nice video. Very slick looking and I like the track. Looking forward to Superconductor. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

The band strike me as the real stars of the video/song. It's not my cup of tea (her vocals and enunciation ruin it a bit for me, as do the bedroom eyes that read more sleepy than sexy), but overall it looks and sounds professional.
And ditto to all the comments about the song length. The nonsense chant-singing starting around the 4.25 min mark had me scratching my head and laughing. Jim Crow AND Elmo?! I hope I'm mishearing it. Sesame Street has had enough drama for now.

I could hear Prince all over that arrangement. I enjoyed the jazz interview too. A very funky event, Andy is very pretty and sings good, Ida and her braids rocked, John was on fire, and the Horns really took off
From the interview with irock jazz: 'Regarding “People Pleaser”, as I held back laughter, she says in another voice, “Well, I’ve done a lot of research about this and I believe it is an illness that plagues mankind. And, there’s not a cure yet, but hopefully this song is a step in the right direction”. There was no other name for this song. From inception, it was “People Pleaser”. There is no other name for that. Superconductor incorporates a lot of layers and includes a “blaring horn section and incredible arrangements”.

The video was very well done, after watching it I actually like the song more now & I loved seeing the band play their instruments - however I would have liked to have seen andy more. She was probably only in about 5 clips & I was confused about who the "star" was because I thought the band were rocking out more. Maybe if she does a ballad it'll be more about her? Peace in the House of Prince.

Okay...now I love Andy, but...I think the real stars in the video was the band :/
Overall, I liked the video but still felt a little unsatisfied

I'm much impressed, better than expected. Although not sure about the 2 adlibs she does at the start, "yeeaew" and "de du du dum" or whatever... It creases me up - keep playing those bits back heheh! And quit with those insincere bedroom eyes too. ..sharmone MF..!

I picked up on that also. Her mouthing of the words does not match the sound. Maybe its because she is trying to be something she is not? Practice at lip synching would help. I also do not like when Andy tries to dance she looks awkward and uncoordinated. I appreciate Prince featuring the band and I love IDA, she's funky! Overall the video is ok. The best part is the intro.

Yeah some of that maybe slight synching issues but you know what overall I love People Pleaser! It's a great song.
On the live france version I also like those "Uhhh" "ooh" grunts from Prince in the start. Kinda gave feeling. Anyways, I like it. I like a lot. And the NPG Music Club logo...bring it back!!! NPGMC!!! What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

The song is hot! Such a funky song for a very nondescriptic woman.

She's incooperating Prince's own dance, did you not notice? She's picked up his own dance moves as well. I wonder what else she'll be copying. This is getting very exciting, but I wish this was a Prince track. Good track and arrangement with a lame voice. Shame! Prince I will always miss and love U.

The video looks great, I like how they kept it simple and classy. Ahh...can I just say I really love the band members lol!!
I tend to agree. Mainly, Andy doesn't have charisma and in the video she still looks too reserved with her moves. Though you can tell she's still growing and getting better, especially if you remember how she used to be in the beginning of W2A tours.

Prince was probably standing there and tellign her how to move/dance, hold the guitar and look sexy. It's like x-factor boot camp kinda thing with the privilege of having good musician to back you up. I think it's nice he's giving guidance to propel the NPG, but one must ask why? I agree she's cute, but isn't it time to have a good Prince song instead of NPG tributes? Prince I will always miss and love U.

Can't get Brain Stew (by Green Day) out of my head every time I hear the riff.
Obviously the song is totally different.
But, eh, yeah, it's a total protege song, she looks and acts like how Prince acts and looks these days. It's good enough.

I like it.. | |

Yeah shes comes across uncoordinated like she has zero rythmn & I totally agree no charisma although she is beautiful & her singing is ok...sorry to say I loved the band but not extremely impressed with her. Sigh.... I had such high hopes after after such a long wait kinda bummed.

The main problem is that Andy Allo does not own the song in the video. The video arrangements might be really good (a bit too good for her), but she sure isn't doing a great job. Firstly, the poor lip synching, secondly her artificial, princified dance moves, and facial expressions, as well as the clothes and make-up she is wearing. Nothing fits her style.
The video speaks for itself. The band, and even the song (not the voice) is quite good, but the problem is that while the band is doing a phenomenal job, she does not add anything to the song and her holding the guitar and pretending to be playing it makes her look even more unprofessional. She is pretty and photogenic so it is clear to me she was only hired because of her looks and Prince's weird "crush" on her, which again strikes through the 'real music by real musicians' theory.
