Andre Cymone 'AC' 2-CD Deluxe Edition--full tracklist revealed! I found this information on FunkytownGrooves Record's Facebook page....
***Petty I know" and unlike us, but coming soon our 2 CD Deluxe Edition release of Andre Cymones 1985 album "AC". Our release will see 12 Bonus tracks of which 8 of the bonus tracks have never been on CD before !!
***[b]UPDATE !! Great News on our upcoming Andre Cymone 2 CD Deluxe Edition release, The release will now contain 22 and possibly 23 Bonus Tracks - Yup .... we got the unreleased gems and some outtakes !! This is not a duplicate release it is the complete release !!

Although I like most BBR's releases in general, my sympathies lie with Funkytowngrooves. BBR have a reputation of screwing other reissue labels over and what's up with releasing a new version op the Pointer Sisters'"So Excited"?If they feel their first release was inferior, they should offer a replacement program for those (like me) who bought the cd first time around.
I can't wait for the FTG release because it will contain the 11-minute version of "Dance Electric" Just like the white winged dove... |

Well, I'll double dip of course. The amount of instrumental out-takes is blah, but I like them to stick everything on than leave things out.
I haven't heard them in ages, but are any of these amongst the out-takes already circulating? I remembered there were quite a few instrumentals in those too. | |

So the long version will be a faded version of the 11.55 minute version before the glitches. Well I guess if it's a WAV/AIFF of the acetate, I'm in. | |

That tracklist is impressive! Looks like they and Andre went into the vault and grabbed everything that was recorded for this project

One of my favorite songs from the album is "Neon Pussycat".I think this should have been the second single.....a great song that could have been a smash hit in 1985! A tasty slice of Minneapolis synth-funk,with a little hip-hop thrown in at the beginning.One of Andre's best songs.

I edited the version I have and cut all the blips and spaces out of the wav file...helps out alot. Its still somewhat detectable but not at the rate the original download was anymore thats for sure.
So I see they edited it down..now I'm mad I didnt pay that attention...but at least there will still be some cool outtakes and dub versions I never heard before. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
