Im assuming that you dont own any bootlegs. No 'City Lights', 'Small Club', "The Work (vols 1- whatever)...None of those. No where in your entire collection do these, or any other UNRELEASED material exist, right? Youve only heard, own, and play that which has has been officially relased, right? Just like anything Prince hasn't released. If he'd just release stuff, there would be no bootlegging/pirating problem. With this case, ppl WANT to buy it but Andy & Prince are stalling the process and cock-teasing fans with release dates, listening parties, mailing lists, etc. They have only themselves to blame. Ppl want something, you tell them you are going to release it, then release it...don't play games with the fans.

The problem may be that Prince just doesn't have a distributor for the album. Whoever was lined up may have backed out feeling that it might not sell. Could be as simple as that. Prince is probably still shopping the album around.

As far as I know, it hasn't leaked. I'm not looking that hard, because I'm not going to download it anyway. I'm going to buy the CD. But I have not seen it in the usual places where such things might be. So all of this is much ado about nothing, at least so far.
