Wow. Bobby Z just jammed with the NPG...

..just spotted on another website [alas can't link as it was a great source of 'uknowwhats'!razz ] Great picture with Shelby, John B etc.

Here's the quote:

Get ready Chicago! You are in for a treat!
What I saw & heard from the NPG last night at Paisley was a musical onslaught!
Hits & Horns....and P at the top of his game!
Thank you Shelby for taking this shot of me and brother John. All my love to Prince & The NPG, and thanks for the Jam! Z."

Also mention on their of RnR Affair live version with the new drummer - that track will sound tonnes better with a big horn section to lift it.

AWESOME! This is gonna b an interesting concert series for Chi-town!

Yeah pull up the original band and do some shows

so much Prince can do at this stage, since hes not into releasing albums as much

have fun with your whole career,

That is still something I thought at the beginning of his Welcome 2 tour that would would be seeing combinations of his 1st band member to his last

As cynical as I am when it comes to Prince, seeing Bobby so happy being around his current band makes me happy. Lotta love for that dude. A legend in Prince-land. Prince doesn't have to reunite old bands but it would be cool as hell if he maintained closer relationships with former band members. This is nice to see.

FYI for those of you who seem shocked the two are still connected. When "the Family" played the Dakota in Minnie not too long ago. Prince rented the top floor for band and friends. Bobby Z was there with his wife. I know this because he was a foot away from me.

There is a place for old friends.
