"Liv Warfield Talks Prince, Being an Indie Artist

Illinois native Live Warfield is performing with Prince on the Welcome 2 Chicago Tour, a tour to benefit Rebuild the Dream. Rebuild the Dream is an organization dedicated to sustaining communities.

It’s a community based program that wants to find solutions to bring people together. Building up our communities and making them once what they were before.

“I’ve never performed in my hometown before, since I launched my music career,” Warfield tells rolling out. “So coming home with Prince is…just beyond…”

Not much of an interview but there is a video on the website as she talks about coming back to her hometown. I asked previously why Chicago but it seems like Prince has gone to all the hometowns of his band members. Shelby, North Carolina. The Twinz, Australia. And now Liv, Chicago. I'm not sure where Ida is from but its nice of Prince to be that thoughtful of his band members. Now all we need is a Paisley celebration for the finale.

Very powerful song and an outstanding vocal performance by Liv (not to mention some beautiful work on the keys from Cassy too).

Ida Nielsen is from Copenhagen, Denmark and Prince has been there in 2010 and 2011.
