You know the hypocritical thinking behind that is that Andy Allo didn't actively court us at the start. As with all things Prince the second she joined the NPG Prince fans ran to her FB page and started following her every word like it was gospel. The same way they did with Tamar, Bria and Andy McKee & Damaris. Andy had a audience that had nothing to do with Prince before all of that and that's who will really be pushing her music and recommending it to their friends. The Prince connection will get her some sales but it's hardly the only demographic she's courting. 50% of Prince fans just dying to hear Prince burp because it's been two years since a CD from him dropped.

It he can get the music on the radio and at viable retail outlets Mrs. Allo has about as much as chance as any other artist today. I have always hoped that P would settle down and work as just a song writter and producer so maybe this project can be the start of the direction.

So unless you've become a popular artist and made it in the mainstream you might as well pack it in because unless a few disenfranchised Prince fans discuss you on a site most people don't even know exists you'll never have an audience beyond them. Somebody should ring up Van Hunt and tell him to get a day job!

Let's see you've come to a conclusion(contrived project) on an unreleased CD that you haven't heard anything more than snippets. Actually I'm defending indie musicians of which she is one. We complain about music today so much on this site then bash anything that doesn't qualify as mainstream.

I think this clip was posted when it was first released via funkenberry and they allowed it.

^^^Okay, well hands down, Andy's album art is much better than that. I never liked the fact that Tamar's arms were dripping in milk and honey. It just looked...sticky.

When the cd comes out everyone is going to be a buzz about the confirmation of Allo boinking the boss because just like Brian Valentes album, I'm sure we are going to hear Allo crooning over Prince's conquest of her. Poor girl's too young to know better. Will they have a sex song like Elixer? I'm sure, or something of their pseudo "love" affair. Its old now, and so is Prince.

Serioulsy, I have a good feeling about this CD, i think that P has put some effort into this project and likewsie she has a real talent and most importantly the samples I've heard so far have been great.

I do still think it's slightly cynical on P's part to use his fan base to flog stuff or is it just savvy marketing ? - at the end of the day it's all about free choice & nobody is forcing us to buy it !.

Who is ordering the Hard copy versus the digital??? am ordering both of course... like 2 have in my hand to feel & smell..

That part did not work for me. I tried three times to order a physical copy using different credit cards, and each time got a message that my order had "failed." Oh well.
