If you think that your economy, your standard of life and your nation's place in the world won't differ enormously depending on the outcome of the election then I don't think you understand enough about politics to exercise your vote.
But as you say, to each their own I suppose.

I'm afraid I understand politics too much. Two hand picked candidates acting as if they're on opposing sides. In reality they are both owned and contolled by the same big money. This country is going down the tubes and you think either one of the two jokers is gonna be the savior? nutty

If you truly believe that the outcome of the election will make no difference to your life then you truly don't deserve your vote.

There are huge differences between the two major parties and what they represent no no no! it's absurd to suggest that Obama and Romney are the same. Please do a comparison of each party's platform.

"This song was inspired by America electing Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States."

So, Andre Cymone was so inspired by America electing Barack Obama president that he wrote and recorded a song about it 3 1/2 years later??? If this is him excited about recording music again, it's no wonder he hasn't released anything in forever.

I know the first time around, I didn't think Obama stood a chance in hell of being elected considering there are so many racists. I voted for him but didn't really expect him to win. So yeah, now that we know it's possible that he can win, it is very inspiring and we need to do all we can to make sure the RepubliKlans don't get back in.

It's nice to hear real drums on a track for a change. The chorus kinda reminds me of John Cougar Mellencamp.

Nice track! Man, this made me go back - again - and listen to that slammin' Jody Watley album that he produced. Dude has some serious talent. This could be a good year for fans of the Minneapolis sound.

The platforms are irrelevant. If I hand you a piece of paper saying that I don't lie it doesn't make it true. Bush had massive approval ratings after 9/11 and for all of the anti-abortion talk the Republicans won't even try on a national level. The Democrats talk about how are civil liberties were raped by Bush and the Patriot Act then Obama allows the NDAA which is about 50,000 times worse. The difference between the parties is the same difference between Coke and Pepsi - it's the packaging, stoopid.

I like it a LOT! Just bought it and I'm going to make sure it leads off tomorrow morning's workout!

It does have an ICNTTPOYM vibe, but it's no rip-off.

The platforms are not irrelevent, and if you can't see the difference between the two parties and what they believe in,then I don't know what to tell ya'.But I know who I will be voting for in November.

I wonder if this means he has an album in the works, or he'll consider ..

Like, it's kind of surreal that he himself has only released 3 albums in his entire career

EDIT: I'm joking, I just read this post

Here's a nice list of all the things that Obama promised during his 2008 election campaign. None of these were kept, and it's a LONG list.. so maybe you want to reconsider before you make him president again.. lol..

Then again, i don't think many people's choice of president is driven by logic or facts, but rather by emotions and how 'presidential' someone comes across.

Not too crazy about the song btw.. it's cheesy as hell.

Previewing his other new song "American Dream" right now. Half way through and it is equally awesome. 60's, 70's psychadelic throwback vibe. Very very cool listen. "Hell Yeaaahhh". A lot of orgers are also real musicians so this is gonna go over well around here. cool

The WHY is important when you look at that list. Congress has done their share of not cooperating with the President. Keep in mind that there are three branches of government, so you resting sole responsibility on a sitting president is sadly uninformed.

Email from Andre sent to the early contributers Sept 16:

So lets consider you guys the front lines, the first $1000 and for that, I must thank you. Its not everyone these days that is willing to put money behind the music they listen to and the artists who create it. It is also not everyone that stands up to fight for what they believe in. All of you have done both of these things and that means a lot to me.

Many of you have asked if i would be releasing more music, and I am in fact working on my album pretty much as we speak and While it is not yet complete, I do want to thank you by sharing a private stream of another song that is also inspired by our country and a realistic and hopeful vision for it.(I can only leave it up for 24 hours, I hope you have the chance to enjoy it. I'm not sure if it will be included on the album or not but if the feedback is persuasive then yeah.... Power to the public!

Please continue spreading the word. We have seven weeks to go and I want to do as much as I can to help reelect President Obama.

Lets continue reaching for a higher ground.

Andre Cymone

You are cordially invited to listen to a preview of American Dream.
