cool I was blessed by this... it made my day! Thank you for sharing, she is on FIRE. She really is such a blessing in her own special way. It is a joy being able to witness her life and how she evolved. "Momma Denise" has always made me wanna be more like her, more now than ever. She sets a great example.

Love it, great show! Nice music selections (great picks, and varied!)... been AGES since I heard that Howard Hewitt gem. You should do more gospel shows in the future.

Thank you very much for your kind words, my friend. I am glad that you were able to receive the goodness of this show and that "Mama Denise" and her words touched your heart. She is a joy to know and I can honestly say that I have watched her grow through the years and vice versa. Trust me when I say that there will be more gospel shows in the future and if you go to my site and sign the email list, you will be the first to know about upcoming shows! Thanks again, my friend.

Geemoneez, man. Give the lady a break! OK, she made some terrible choices in her past, but she's gotten herself together health wise, and she's doing something she's passionate about. So what if she comes across a bit intense in her devotion, but she's doing something positive with her life. Be happy for her, dude. comfort

Faking her devotion to Christ? I don't think she's faking. She has gone through some terrible times, almost died, so it's not unusual for her to seek a higher power for help and guidance. Her devotion to some may seem over the top, but I understand how she came to accept Christ as her Lord and Saviour. I'm just glad she's healthy and happy with her life. She's blessed.

Really? I mean like... really? I know we are all entitled to our opinion but I think this is a bit much. So you're gonna pass judgment on her because of her past?

God bless you, my friend. You have a nice day.

We all make mistakes, and we All will find our way to God one day.
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Thanks for posting this. Just a question-you say in the interview you've known Denise for a long time. How did you meet her? You two had a good on-air rapport, and I think it would be good if you had her on again in the future as well smile

btw I checked out that the website for the Missouri Black Expo event at which Denise will be speaking next week. I couldn't help but cringe a bit when I saw that the now infamous Evelyn Lozada of Basketball Wives will be there promoting her book as well lol She stands for everything Denise preaches against.

Good question Shard and thanks for listening.

A long time ago, I'll probably say around 1999 or maybe 2000, I actually looked up Denise online and found her website. At the time, she had her phone number posted on the site and I decided to take a chance and call her. Needless to say, she didn't answer but several days later she called me back and left a message and I lost my cool! (smile) Ever since then, we have had a very good friendship. She's really a great person and an awesome friend.

I will definitely have her back on the show before the end of the year. This has been perhaps my biggest show thus far! Thanks again for your feedback!

aww that's a cool story. It's nice you've stayed in contact. The one thing I would tell Denise is, though, that it's difficult to hear her clearly during radio interviews. I don't know if the reception on her phone isn't great, or she holds it too close to her mouth, but there's a lot of static. I've listened to numerous interviews of hers in recent years and it's the same problem lol

anyway thanks again smile
