If this guy Percy really is from I Love New York, then I smell something fishy......because also on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta , which I LOVE!, there seems to be a girl messing around with Lil Scrappy who was on I love Flavor Flav show..... hmmmm... are these people just gettin on anything that will put them on or do the producers bring these people in? I'm smelling a rat.....

Lauralevesque, Percy is not that guy named 'Punk', who was on the'

'I love New York' Reality show. Punk's picture is below and you can see that's not Percy, although they favor each other in looks.

Punk whose real name is David 'Punk' Otunga, is the one who was on the 'I Love New York' show.and is married to singer/actress, Jennifer Hudson, and they have a child together.

(David 'Punk' Otunga - from 'I Love New York' show)

========================================

Now this is Percy below in a scene with Andrea in 'Hollywood Exes' so you can see how he and 'Punk' could be confused for one another. They both have that 'Al B Sure' look. lol

Oh gotcha. lol

Does kinda look like him though! smile

I think they are brining Pepa on not only for the drama but to get their ratings up.

I am reading off another site their ratings are very low they are not getting million viewers per week barely unlike Single ladies and Love and Hip hop which they are getting around 3 million per week.

I like the show though and I am interesting to see more when the new additions come. I love Pepa btw.

Yeah they need to bring in someone like Jocelyn - from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta- for some good ratings! I loovee her and all her drama! When I first saw her I thought, "Who is this skank?" but ended up really feeling for her and all her problems and how she's just trying to stay outta the strip club! haha- No really, that show has the ratings because it is really like a soap opera whereas the ex wives show is about these exes bitching about how they dont' "Have it like they used to" and that can get old real quick.

I don't even see how Pepa is supposed to fit into a group like this. To begin with, she was, hell she's more famous than her husband, and I don't see her fitting in that well with this particular group. I like Pep, but I've seen her previous reality show outings, and marketing wise I'm not sure if this Los Angeles based constellation of ladies is really her scene.

I like the show as it is. I'm tired of not being able to find skank free shows that appeal to settled grown-ups who have sense. If the show is dropped, then it just says to me that it should have been on WE TV or Style Network in the first place. This is a show that falls more in line with the content over on those stations and appears to be a bit of a different demographic than the bufoonery Mona and Shed media are producing. VH1 has just gotten way too gutterbucket for me to be bothered with. I like seeing grown, adult women, who know how to carry themselves like they have a damn clue.

yeahthat

Actually, now that you mention it... why didn't OWN get this show? It would have a been a great boost for the ratings and this show IS more in line with Oprah's demographics.

I felt this way about Eddie Murphy's ex- like, Damn! this woman is all about her business- she knows how to carry herself- she speaks like a lady and has class, but, then when she's looking at houses and she's like, "Uh uh , I need a bowling alley and a swimming pool" then they start looking spoiled to me and lose me!

I agree with whoever said this should be on OWN and maybe about something more than, "We need a man and no man can live up to our rich fabulous exes"

And yeah, what the hell with Pepa being an "Ex Hollywood Wife"? Bullshit! She's a trailblazer, What the hell? He's HER ex, she ain't his!

Actually, those kinds of things don't bother me when I hear people say that's what they need. I mean, after all, the woman was working in arguably pampered, jet-set circumstances since she was 13, then married extraordinarily well (where finances are concerned). She really hasn't seen broke for a long time, and frankly, people who have been in positions of extraordinary wealth and luxury just aren't like the average Joe. All those extra luxuries are just naturally part of their lives even though they might sound odd to the rest of us.

I look at someone like Nicole not from what's appropriate living from my own personal paradigm, rather than looking at it from the perspective of what she represents as a kind of Hollywood archtype: successful international ex-model formerly married to Hollywood film royalty; still connected to Hollywood, raising children there, engaged to a popular sports figure, has a precious stone jewelry businesss catering to Southern California and Rock n' Roll's elite. It's a lifestyle that's going to require a certain level of creature comforts, and must enable a person to entertain properly for social/business situations. At the very least, she should have a pool and a screening theatre given how long she's been interacting with people in Hollywood's film community. The bowling alley is a little "excra" lol But that's how that's how people in that tier of income & experience roll. I notice bowling alleys are popular among the rich in Atlanta, too. That and home spas...and those people aren't even famous or associated with the famous. They're just used to having it like that lol

If their lifestyle is one where they compete in championships then it would make sense, also being children of celebrities... I would think they would want to stay home and make home an epicenter of fun were the parents will make sure the kiddies will be safe from any harm from the nutjobs who would want to threaten the family.

I see it as a safety thing... keep home interesting and the kids can still be active indoors. shrug

Not really. In the show the ladies might mention their exes casually in relation to their struggles with re-building their lives or identities, but if you're looking for salacious gossip on their lives with their ex-husbands (outside of Jessica Conseco still being sprung for her ex-husband) this won't be the show for you. This is more of an older woman's "chick lit"-ish kind of show, with divorceés reaching/passing the 40 year benchmark and trying to figure out "what's next" at this phase in their lives.

So it was revealed this episode that Mayte lost a baby due to a partial molar pregnancy due to her veganism. So that's why she eats animal products now. I'm assuming this was the 2nd baby she mentioned losing before the show started. She didn't say it was P's or Tommy's so who knows who the daddy was at the time.

I think it's likely just as much for the adults as it is for the children. For some reason in the last 5 or so years, bowling has had a huge resurgence in popularity, and especially among rich African Americans, and people really are installing bowling alleys in their homes like crazy. It's taken over priority where tennis or basketball courts used to reign supreme in the homes of the wealthy. I see it as a trend that will likely die down in another 5 years and will only be for those who are diehards who really really are into the sport.

There's no proven correlation between being a vegan and MP's. My fiance's girlfriends sister is a vegan and has two healthy kids. I caught the episode today and I think that the girls ganging up on Jessica because she had an abortion was way below the belt. Some things you just shouldn't bring up. Andrea and Sheree were dead wrong to bring up such a sensitive subject as the abortion of someone's own baby and compare it to the killing of an animal. I thought Jessica showed a strong character to not have whooped all their asses for bringing that up the way they did.

Hmm I have a different view on the whole situation. While Sheree is a stuffed shirt and irritating, it was clear that Jessica made it a point to pick on Sheree, however, when Andrea brought up the abortion subject, I don't think that was cool. But instead of Jessica laying Andrea out over that, she takes it out on Sheree. Why, I don't know. All of the girls weren't ganging up on Jessica, she put herself in that position when she went on and on preaching about how eating animals meant that you weren't humane or something. Their point was, how can you go around judging folks about eating animals when she sat up there and ate a CRAB cake. She was being a hypocrite and was being called out on it. She can dish it but can't take it when someone calls her out on her shit. I do agree that the abortion topic should had never been brought up, but Jessica shouldn't had ever told them that in the first place. All of that was Jessica's fault. Then she had the audacity to act childish as hell at dinner....you not going to talk to Sheree but you going to eat her food? ohgoon Dumb. Just my twocents.

I agree with most of your opinion. I didn't see the part as to who brought up the abortion, but if Jessica did, then she let the cat out of the bag on her own. I have to ask though, how is it Jessica wouldn't kill a roach, but could abort a baby, then attack the girls and threaten them for eating meat because, as Jessica somehow put it 'Aniimals have feelings'. Furthermore, I don't see how it's Jessica's place to tell other people what they shouldn't eat based on her own values. I think that's being a bit selfish on her part. I have to say from the start, the other women have been very patient with Jessica, especially with some of the comments/insults that have come out of her mouth, and the other ladies, just let it pass, as "Oh, that's just Jessica", but it wouldn't be surprising if in future episodes, the other women lose their patience with her. She seems to play victim, once she picks the nerves of some of the other ladies. lol

Now with Sheree, her Christian-like ways are so questionable. lol

Andrea -- love her personality, which makes the show tolerable. Nicole seems to stay cool throughout the show and is apparently the peacemaker.. As far as Mayte, she seems to be a bit shy, and sits back and just observes, but I think Andrea's personality seems to bring out Mayte's, and their friendship seems to compliment one another.

Jessica vs. Sheree....

my take on this situation...

Jessica is passive agressive

Sheree is a pushy broad

Jessica is not a Christian

Sheree is the preacher's wife

These dynamics come into play since I am a Christian and when I am with my non-Christian friends they take comments made by me as personal jabs even though I mean no insult to my friends.

So I learned to not say certain things in order to not come off as some judgemental asshole.

Sheree needs to be more tactful because she will only turn people off to God/Christianity if she sip martini's while quoting biblical passages.

Meanwhile miss Jessica needs to stop trying to "one-up" Sheree by giving her a taste of her own judgemental speeches by proclaiming "You shouldn't torture animals or support the slaughter of veal".... just tell Sheree to back the hell off and Sheree will, speak up for yourself and stop trying to scheme on how to "stick it to her" with the silly name-calling... find other things to since you know Sheree isn't down for flashing her boobs while in a drunken stooper or other stuff...

Instead Jessica needs to just stop personalizing the little stuff a pushy church wife says and stop taking small jabs at Sheree because Sheree being the pushy broad she is WILL hit below the belt.

And at NO muthafucking time is it OK to "call someone out on getting an abortion" EVER!

I am a Christian and you bring judgement to yourself when you try to call out an unsaved person on making such a hard decision... and you dare call yourself a friend to her?

If a person opens up to you in confidence about something that they have a personal struggle with then by no means is it OK to use it against her later on in order to win an arguement, that is juvenile bullshit and an uncalled for... so immature and trifiling.

Next time Andrea and Sheree need to stick to their beliefs and take the high road and not the low road because it solves nothing to project bullshit on people if you do not like how they talk to you.

Sheree should have stuck to "veal" and foods and not taken it there. Pure Bullshit, and Andrea needs her ass beat for bringing it up. Jessica vs. Sheree....

my take on this situation...

That ain't no friend, that's a phony snake waiting the perfect chance to strike. Dre' just worry about why your Percy likes you for just yo big ol' ass cheeks... and stop trying to stir the pot, you just wanna see a fight you ol' hood rat.

Lawd, I thought you said you were a Christian Paintedlady? lol Why jump on Andrea? (Don't hit me okay..just sayin' lol). What's up with calling Andrea a hood rat? I didn't see the part where the abortion issue was first brought up, so don't know if Jessica mentioned it first, but yes Andrea should have kept it a secret if it was told to her in confidence, and Jessica, who just met Andrea, should have probably not reveal such a private thing to someone she just met. I hope Jessica learned a lesson from that. Now Jessica may get a backlash from some anti-abortonists, because of that being publically revealed. Hopefully not though. That's a private matter that should have been left off the show.

Anyway, still luv ya though Paintedlady, just don't mess with 'Dre...mmm'kay? lol hug (Running before Paintedlady hits me with her shoe)

@Paintedlady: That's what puzzled me, like they all were just talking about the whole eating animals isn't humane then Drea from out of nowhere mentions an abortion. I was like, huh what, where did that come from? Since she had already brought that to the table, then Sheree rubbed it in. Had Drea not brought it up, then I'm not too sure if Sheree would had mentioned it....maybe so since Jessica brought up the whole drinking hard liquor subject when the camera is off.

I don't even see how Pepa is supposed to fit into a group like this. To begin with, she was, hell is more famous than her husband, and I don't see her fitting in that well with this particular group.

Agree, this would've been a great addition to Oprah's OWN network. But no worries, OWN is giving LaToya Jackson her own show so I guess it all works out lol Anyways really enjoyed last nights show. I thought it was funny when they brought that lobster home to teach Jessica a lesson, to bad it died tho.

Seriously? Oh yes I am a Christian and I dislike it when people use their "Christianity" to toss judgement on people. Its ugly. Not what Jesus would do... at all IMHO. hmph! Sheree should know better to let anyone get her in a place to where she just gets trifiling. Besides, Jessica being the self-described heathen, what she did with her body should not even come up. Sheree should be the example because to much is given, much is required. Sheree should not have jumped on Jessica on that point, Sheree already conceeded and didn't order veal.

You know Andrea mentioned "so its OK to kill a baby, but not a roach" at Jessica and Sheree jumped on it like a fly to doo-doo.

But here's my problem with that... when Jessica did tell her business to Andrea initially, did Andrea jump on her then and call her a baby-killer? Sheree obviously stayed friends with said baby-killer, so I am willing to bet they both didn't cuss Jessica out and supported her. ONLY during a time of disagreement does she then use that against Jessica. lol

See, I was on Dre' and Sheree 's side on that until they pulled that foolish crap to make a point. Jessica will NEVER go to church with Sheree now... what poor example and she's the 1st lady of a church! Lawd have mercy...

See, Miss Drea knows what she was doing and she did it so skillfully that many may have missed it, just instigating like a PRO.

Drea played the "I am just trying to understand and not judge but.... innocent " then pulls out her spoon and stirs that pot up by tossing in the abortion...

and ol' Sheree just falls right into that mess because she GOTTA let folks know NOT to mess with her, like that was an issue at anytime. lol

Jessica just needs a better backbone and needs to stop being so passive agressive with her little comments unless she's ready to pull Sheree's wig off.

OH!!!

and how they gonna buy lobster and a mofo doesn't set it on ice and then they take it home and put it in fresh water from the faucet???

Uh hello!!! Lobsters live in SALT water and most water from a faucet is not only loaded with clorine and is usually too alkaline which will KILL the hell outta lobsters...

I just like Nicole. lol

Okay, so I didn't see that part when Andrea hinted around the abortion issue with that comment, because I was on the phone at the time, but I can't make sense of the 'abortion vs keeping a roach alive?' with Jessica. Smh. It's like asking which one would you choose? I'm baffled by the comparison. I say kill the nasty roach and put it out to pasture.

I still think Jessica shouldn't have shared something so private with people she just met, whether she was having 'a moment of woman talk' or not with Andrea about it behind the cameras. Oh and by the way, lol I doubt Jessica had any intention of going to church with Sheree--drinking alcohol out of one side of her mouth-and preaching bible verses out of the other side. Sheree speaks out two sides of her mouth and seems to create her own religious restrictions by the minute. I had to laugh when she said it was time for her to spend some quite/calm time with the ladies, while not mentioning the same about her husband.

Now about lobster, can't stand the smell of it. By the way, I heard lobsters are within the cockroach family, barf not sure how true that is, but hey to each their own, just not for me. lol

[Edited 8/2/12 4:59am]

[Edited 8/2/12 6:58am]

I completely agree. I'm a vegan and have been one for over 5 years but i would never tell someone not to eat meat. People who are judgemental like that just need to feel superior to someone. Some people just can't be vegans or vegetarians. their body chemistry doesn't support it. lucky for me, mine does and it makes me happy. I'd go on about that but this forum isn't a debate about vegetarian/veganism vs omnivores biggrin

As far as Jessica having an abortion; i believe in women's reproductive rights. that's all i have to say about that.

Sheree said she was advised by her physician to eat meat. Maybe she was anemic or anemic, who knows, but if that's her choice, then Jessica should just let her be. ( I can't believe I'm even participating in this thread...this is what happens when the work flow is slow at the job..:lolsmile

Okay- My two cents, first of all, I agree with everything Paintedlady said above- Not just because I like Paintedlady but because it is so true- I have a lady at work named Natalie and she is a Christian and she never judges, she only lets you know that she is doing her best as a Christian and she is there for you- Atheists go in her office and shut the door for some Christian counseling from time to time because she is non judgmental and basically, not full of shit (ala' Sheree)

Okay, but another thing: I'm guessing (now that I've seen the episode) that Mayte lost the other baby when she was with Prince because she says it was due to being a vegan (which I think sounds hokey) but anyway, with Prince, there was a big show of their vegetarianism and when she did that documentary with scumbag Tommy Lee she was outside grilling up some steaks on the grill- I remember because when she was grilling them and screaming about "OH! I've burnt the steaks!" I was like, ? Because I'd thought she was a vegetarian..... anyway, that's what I'm thinking....

As for the way they teamed up on Jessica, that was some bull-shit- Even made Mayte look a little like a bitch. And I really hate to say this but she was crying in the clip from upcoming episode about the fact that Jessica "killed a baby" by having an abortion but I sure do remember her walking side by side into the courthouse to support scraggly ass Tommy Lee when he was going to court when that poor little boy died in Tommy Lee's pool due to there being poor supervision at Tommy Lees house (what do you expect?) when his son had a birthday party. If I were her I would have stayed away from that situation. Just sayin.... This baby deal is beginning to look like her platform for the show.
