She may be co-signing that... but it seems vague because she could mean anyone in her life, she does come off like a push over.

Agree with responses #1-3. Probably best not to read too much into who she's talking about. Not everyone is that passive aggressive when they express themselves with a quote that touches them some way.

i just thought maybe she was reading our responses on here (in regard to their relationship) and may have been wising up.

Oh please. You know with her being Prince's ex and having a new show that has just come out, she has to have checked out this site to see how she's being perceived. I would definately say she's come here at least once for some feedback.

Mayte does have an account on this site and she does post here. I would think she does peek in from time to time.

No offense meant but this hardly makes any sense.

1/ If their friendship (admitting it's more than a mere Facebook "friendship") is still there after what happened (whatever happened anyway, since we don't really know), it's certainly a strong friendship.

2/ Mayte obviously knows hundreds of people, and dozens of them are probably among her friends in the real-life sense. It could be just anyone.

3/ All sounded more like rhetorical question from a quote anyway, there is just no reason to believe it's linked to a real-life situation, let alone one involving Mani.

But in the end what do I know?

I am pretty sure I know who Mayte was referring to. I came across this by accident while cruising on twitter to see how Mayte has been responding to all of the backlash from her crazy outburst on national television. From the looks of it, she was talking about that friend Dave of hers. It looks like they had a falling out because he has sort of been putting her on blast underhandedly on his twitter account.

He posted a couple tweets that look like that may pair up with Mayte's recent tweets about "bad friends".

This is from Dave's twitter that was posted the day after Mayte's embarrassing episode aired:

"When people try to f&&k with me, god has a way of making them pay. I think last night was an example of just that. #Karma"

He talks like he's Jesus.

He also posted this:

"Karma a bitch best served hot!"

Heres one of Mayte's posts about friends:

Some friend of Mayte's who has posted on here several times either in Mayte's defense or to gossip on Prince and his business with certain women. A male Prince groupie.

"Dave" is an orger who posts under the name "MeltedMan". I think I read (back in the day) that he was an associate of Paisley Park back when Prince and Mayte were together.

I also got the impression that he was some sort of attorney (business or something NOT divorce attorney).

The story went that when Prince and Mayte split up, this guy went to Mayte's camp. So he is/was a big supporter of Mayte and a critic of Prince. He also came on this board and gave first hand account of that huge fight Prince and Mayte had at the night club in NYC many years ago. That is why I think he was a personal friend/ associate of Mayte and not just a fan/groupie.

He has posted several times announcing new things happening in Mayte's career etc.

Pretty surprised to hear they are having some sort of rift because my impression of Dave was he was pretty supportive of Mayte.

I read in an article recently where she was talking about the show/Prince (of course) in which she stated that a friend of a friend, said to the bouncer/door guy at a club where they were trying to get in at "Hey, She was married to Prince, This is Prince's ex-wife" or something along those line and she stated that she pretty much didn't like that. So maybe it was this Dave guy or a friend of his.

Btw, do we really care if they had a falling out or are we hoping that he will dish dirt on her like they did P?

I find it interesting she didn't like it being that the only reason she is on the show is because she is Prince's Ex wife. If she wanted to distance herself from him, she wouldnt be promoting it.

I would say most probably want him to dish dirt, especially if he has been backing her up and talking trash about Prince so much.

who knows? she could be talking about Flo, mothernature, her period for all i know?? idk who the hell she is talking about.

I think she must check in here every once in a while if not more frequently. Afterall, the woman has the wedding china prominently displayed in her dining room. She's held on to items of clothing. I wouldn't be surprised if she has a couple pair of his dirty draws to sniff erry now and then just to get a blast from the past. Girlfrien got "issurs."
