MORRIS DAY AND THE TIME Mohegan Sun 7/14/12

Terrible!!!! Morris, Monte and Jellybean were the ONLY Orignal 3 members. I first saw them on the Controversy Tour and then Purple Rain tour. Great performances! Within the last 6 years I saw them 3 times at Mohegan Sun Wof Den - free of charge to all! Well, their show has been exactly the same for the last 6 years. Same entrance music and intro and songs. The songs aren't changed up or revamped in any way. Same jokes.......terrible. I'm sorry I wasted the gas money to get there.

They need to do shows in Minneapolis (Isn't that where Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis are still located?) do a few shows and only with most of the members, and small set lists

They need to hire someone to set a story to their shows, get a (early Time/SOTT) backdrop for the stage. They need a visualy direction & storytelling flow to the songs they pick. Have Sheila E guest on a song or 2, back Jill Jones on some songs

I'm pretty sure Jam & Lewis are based in LA now. It's a shame really i think them being called o7 just killed any chance they had of a meaningful comeback.

they can't record as 'the Time' but they can perform as the Time correct?

On their album cover they should stand on the same backdrops as the first 2 albums with 'the Time' spray painted or a sign on the wall behind them

The shows aren't bad(they still put on a great show) but now they're predictable. most of their fans have seen them multiple times already and we're ready for something fresh and new from either line-up. I haven't seen any reviews from the NYC shows this past Friday, did anyone from the ORG attend?

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Yeah. The evening would have been a complete write off but for finding in the toilet the technology to enter the human mind through dream invasion. I looked at Morris and thought why not? One second I'm in NYC watching Morris sleepwalking through Jungle Love, the next I'm at First Avenue circa 1985 watching Morris singing Jungle Love. If it works once I thought? Seconds later I'm looking through a window watching Mo bitch slapping Vanity. Suddenly I was accosted from behind. The next thing I remember was being in a blacked out Limo feeling the sharpness of Prince's spike heel in my solar plexus. "what's in the case mf?" he screamed Camille style. "something to see the dawn" I replied. I wired Prince up and found myself back in NYC watching Morris sleepwalking through Jungle Love!
