Finally watched the spiritual cleansing of Mayte's house. I like her mom's personality. She is funny as hell yelling at the ghost telling him to take a hike because she has to get her prayers in.

Mayte's mom and Andrea Kelly are the best on the show.

Mayte's situation does not compare even the slightest bit. yes they were teens too, but i believe Mayte was more fragile and was considered a soulmate even before her twenties. They were "Prince and Princess Mayte" it was set up like a dream and came crashing down on her at the age of 23 when things got rocky. She was with him for nealy 10 years. Years more of special marriage and baby-making memories than those other girlfriends can say.

She thought her marriage was going to be forever. She was young and naive when she entered into that union with Prince. simple. Because she was in love. SPRUNG. All this time and she still is hung up on him, and them as a couple (circa 1990's)

And don't underestimate this woman's dedication/devotion.

Did you read about her work with animal rescue. I bet a majority of those animals were rescued.

All these years and she is still working at HER chosen charity. And you don't see her giving a bunch of interviews --- beating her chest about her "charity". Or going to a bunch of hollywood events talking about "her charity" when what you were really doing was looking for Mr. Moneybags #2.

Mayte just does the rescue for dogs and really gets into it. I love dogs too. Will go out of my way to help a dog in danger (injured dogs to charity vet etc). But I won't open my home to strays.

Mayte does. I admire that. She walks the walk on that issue.

So if she is that way about strange dogs.... imagine how dedicate she would be (hung up) on a man who was her first love, first lover, first everything.

That is all of that seems so much worst to me.

Have you ever heard of "honor among thieves"? Back in the day, thieves/criminals had a code of honor. And if you weren't a "pro" you were considered a "civilian". A honorable criminal (I know.... a oxymoron) would not take advantage of a civilian. And if a criminal did take advantage of a civilian he was ridiculed from his peers. Cause there was no "honor" from "taking candy from a baby"

To me, Mani, Carmen, Anna, etc. were like peers in the "mack game" along with Prince.

Some got better than they gave. Like Mani and Carmen.

But Mayte was not like that. Prince had to realize that. Maybe he did and tried to go along with the fantasy with her but just couldn't change his ways.

Mayte still sigh and swoon when talking about the "heavens moving" etc when she describes her history with Prince.

All fairytales and regrets. Never hear her expressing anger, betrayal etc. Just love, and regrets.

Why the roll of the eyes and calling my opinion trash? its just an opinion, if you disagree with it fine no need to be condescending. and I actually see your point too. last year mayte made some noise because she had to pay to get in his concerts whereas before she was let in. my point is that whatever lasting she perk she had is forever gone, if it wasnnt gone alreay. Number 1: No I don't not Know for a fact but i personally think it's true that is why i said "I BELIEVE mayte was more fragile.." you don't have to believe it..no one is forcing you, and im not saying it's fact OBVIOUSLY being fragile when it refers to a person can be an opinion.

Number 2: HE MADE HER HIS WIFE! I would expect if I were Mayte for Prince to consider me his ONLY woman in his life. NOT to be a more than a one-woman man. WIth Marriage comes Trust and a woman should have every right to feel hurt from a man cheating on her (if that happened).

Number 3: Manuela, as far as im concerned has found another man and seems very happy with her life and new baby. Im very happy for her and I don't feel sorry for her because she's having a great life and there's nothing to feel sorry for. The fact that Mayte still has not found a man to have a family with makes me feel bad. And I don't know how you tell people that Mayte does not deserve any sympothy while ignoring all these reasons why she should.

Hi Ladies,

It kind of makes no sense for anyone to argue about how any of them feels really, because no one here is a personal friend of either one of them.

Everything that's stated from everyone on this thread is speculation, including my posts. So why not just leave it at that? At the end of the day, it will be Prince, not any of his fans, that will determine what kind of future friendship if any, he chooses to have with exes, and if he doesn't, well that's his personal choice, not the fans or the viewers, regardless of our personal opinions on what we think we know about their relationships. It's not for any of us to decide. Besides no one here has any special privileges into telling either of them what's right or wrong or who did the other wrong, because it wasn't our relationship or marriage, and no one here was behind closed doors with them during those marriages.

It seems in the upcoming episodes the ladies will be focusing more on what they're doing with their lives in the 'right now', and like orger Ottensen said, the first two episodes was to more than likely give viewers a little insight into the ladies' past, who they are, and who they were married to. The ladies have stated, including Mayte on the recent interviews, that the show is about 'them' not their exes, so I think they want viewers to focus more on that. We shall see what the next episodes bring.

When I watched them together, to me it seemed like he was selling an idea/performance of Prince and Mayte, sorry I just didn't get the whole great love story of the decade vibe from them, just my opinion.

Number 1: No I don't not Know for a fact but i personally think it's true that is why i said "I BELIEVE mayte was more fragile.." you don't have to believe it..no one is forcing you, and im not saying it's fact OBVIOUSLY being fragile when it refers to a person can be an opinion.

Number 2: HE MADE HER HIS WIFE! I would expect if I were Mayte for Prince to consider me his ONLY woman in his life. NOT to be a more than a one-woman man. WIth Marriage comes Trust and a woman should have every right to feel hurt from a man cheating on her (if that happened).

Number 3: Manuela, as far as im concerned has found another man and seems very happy with her life and new baby. Im very happy for her and I don't feel sorry for her because she's having a great life and there's nothing to feel sorry for. The fact that Mayte still has not found a man to have a family with makes me feel bad. And I don't know how you tell people that Mayte does not deserve any sympothy while ignoring all these reasons why she should.

You can step on her all you want. You won't change my opinion. Mayte gets MY sympathy. Let's agree to disagree.

1. You are very much entitled to your opinion just I am very much entitled to Mine. Not trying to change anyone's opinion, just like no one will change my opinion about their relationship that we don't know all the facts about. Just B/S opinions on this site, nothing personal, cuz don't none of us know them personally.

2. Just because someone makes you their wife, doesn't mean anything if the foundation for a pure/monogamist relationship was never their to begin with. If I was with someone that did those things to me and for what ever god forsaken reason I decided to walk down that aisle, there is no way in hell I would assume that he would change over night and Never ever be with other women.

The Man controlled the wedding for goodnes sake, chick could have walked away at anytime, love be damned (or being pregnant or not). So NO, I do not have any sympathy for this chick outisde of the obvious tragedy that fell upon them for which they had no control over. She was a willing participant in her own life and had a hand in how she wanted her life to turn out. Her life is her life and she could have controlled how that story unfolded.

3. In order for women/Mayte to be happy she needs a man and some children (or did I read/take that wrong, probably). There are many woman/men in this world that have not found love/married/had kids but I doubt that the life is a train wreck or that the majority of them would consider their lives unhappy because of it. We don't know the real reasons she has never gotten remarried or had a baby.

Bottom line is, you can post your opinions on this org and so I can I. And I am not trying to step all over anybody (cuz I don't hate/dislike/love/admire the chick), I just don't give a blank sympathy pass for her entire life. Not that she cares one way or the other.

And who is to say that Mani/Eric is really happy behind closed doors. I am pretty sure she keeps his cheating ways in the back of her mind

Hi Ladies,

It kind of makes no sense for anyone to argue about how any of them feels really, because no one here is a personal friend of either one of them.

Everything that's stated from everyone on this thread is speculation, including my posts. So why not just leave it at that? At the end of the day, it will be Prince, not any of his fans, that will determine what kind of future friendship if any, he chooses to have with exes, and if he doesn't, well that's his personal choice, not the fans or the viewers, regardless of our personal opinions on what we think we know about their relationships. It's not for any of us to decide. Besides no one here has any special privileges into telling either of them what's right or wrong or who did the other wrong, because it wasn't our relationship or marriage, and no one here was behind closed doors with them during those marriages.

It seems in the upcoming episodes the ladies will be focusing more on what they're doing with their lives in the 'right now', and like orger Ottensen said, the first two episodes was to more than likely give viewers a little insight into the ladies' past, who they are, and who they were married to. The ladies have stated, including Mayte on the recent interviews, that the show is about 'them' not their exes, so I think they want viewers to focus more on that. We shall see what the next episodes bring.

Thanks for this response, I appreciate your comments and a agree with it. Its nice that you can express a different perspective without being condescending as if someone's own family member was insulted. I"m just speculating like everyone else here.
