I haven't been watching the shows because all my thinking of Mayte was confirmed from the first episode and being a guy its probably best I stay away from gossiping confused but I did watch that Bethenny interview that someone posted in here and I gotta say, what the hell is up with Mayte? Damn. She has NO personality and nothing to say EVER. Is she like this on the show as well? She just doesn't fit in, its almost awkward to watch. Maybe she is consciously worried about if Prince's people or even the man himself is watching and seeing from the first episode how she is still wrapped up in him, maybe she's afraid to say anything about him?

I also caught that she met up with Mani and I got to say I agree with everyone else's sentiments on that woman. That wasn't right when she told Mayte "catch up". You can call Mayte naive, but after the age of 30 I think they call it something else. lol Mani wreaks sneaky.

I caught the latest episode.

It seems like Jessica is acting like she just broke up with her boyfriend. I think she still have the hots for her ex and is truly salty that he is moving to Boston because SHE wanted him there... not just because their daughter needs him.

Love love love Andrea. Love her T-O-D comments.

When that guy JC revealed he was married, it seemed like the wind went out of Mayte's sails.

Andrea had a great attitude... "whereever JC came from, there are others like him"

Sheree seems like she was enjoying the wine; slipped up and used a little profanity. Does anyone know what kind of church her husband is a pastor of? I haven't been to "traditional" church in EONS, but last time I went... you weren't supposed to drink alcohol. Even the communion wine was really grape juice. So what branch of religion is Sheree, or have the rules relaxed with the alcohol. drink

Andrea is pretty funny. And her attitude make her more attractive than some of the other exes who have features that are initially more pleasing.

Dang I am HOOKED. I couldn't even wait to DVR this show. Had to watch it on LIVE TV. eek

I haven't heard of churches enforcing that as a general rule rather than individuals choosing to abstain for their own spiritual reasons. I think it also differs from culture to culture as well. For example, the Head Pastor of my church (from S. Africa) does not drink at all. He comes from an environment where it was a problem with men in the local villages who would take their week or month's wages on Friday, and go straight to the bar/gambling joint and piss it all away in one night. In his desire to lead by example for the men in his churches, he's always chosen to abstain, though he might have an occasional glass of wine for a very special family event (like his daughter's recent wedding) or his birthday.

Now our Associate Pastor, who is European, a straight up, 6'2" teutonic German, has been with the church for 10 years and was even our interim pastor for a time- does drink modestly, as does his wife occasionally. He occasionally will go out for a beer after band practice with my husband though they don't drink more than one (Neither are heavy drinkers, plus if you get caught driving here over the alcohol limit you automatically lose your license and your car on the spot). We've been to many fellowship events together at someone's house where beer or wine is served, and it's fine. But these people are German. Wine and beer is a food group all of its' own in this country lol . When we go to the associate pastor's house for dinner, his wife will whip out the lamb, but she always has a nice Italian wine to accompany it, which is typical in any household here. Wine with dinner (or with cheese) is a regular activity here that Christians are fine with. I do have a friend from South America though who does not imbibe, but her father died of complications from alcoholism so she's admitted that this is the underlying reason why, and she sees alcohol as being a kind of personal devil for her family.

While true that communion wine is always grape juice (remember 1. the act is only symbolic of the last supper command from Jesus, and 2. you have a lot of under age folks, and people who can't have that sip of alcohol for health or medication reasons sitting up in church lol )---the truth is that wine is a common beverage enjoyed throughout the Bible for celebrations, even by Jesus himself ( remember the wedding in Canaan?). Wine, wine vineyards, and grape vines are also used throughout the bible as instructional metaphors for living a Christian life . I think the bigger issue with wine is that -like everything, it should be consumed in moderation. There's nothing wrong with having a little wine, it only becomes a spiritual issue if the alcohol itself replaces the Most High as the object of idolatry, the focus of all your purpose and worship, and you're using it to abuse your bodily temple...so, basically it boils down to modest enjoyment of the beverage vs. alcoholism lol

. I was raised in a Black Baptist church. Alcohol was referred to as the "Devil's drink" So it was a "sin" to consume alcohol. Although I know people who go out on Saturday and get tore up and be in the church choir on Sunday morning hanging over. I just wondered if that was still the doctrine being pushed in church these days. I went to a non demonin. church recently and women wore pants, cullottes, etc.. and there was a concession stand so that you could buy fancy coffees and even popcorn to consume DURING service. eek Just wondered if that was THAT church or are all of them that way today.

...and for that bolded part, this is where biblical literacy comes in. It's so important for people to be literate in The Word, so that folks in the pulpit cannot just be telling the congregation any old thing and pass it off as biblical truth or direct mandates from God. The issue about alcohol is not it's consumption vs. its' abuse. Jesus himself drank wine, but he didn't get to' up from the flo' up; that in and of itslef should be a pretty good indication on where Jesus stood on the issue lol

As for mode of dress, I think it depends on the church, their location, etc. Same for the type of refreshments they serve. My church is filled with people averaging under age 50 in a very hip, fairly affluent city. My white African pastor is rarely without his traditional dashiki shirts in warm weather, and I am rarely out of skinny jeans and Converse sneakers. In different cities with different church traditions I dress accordingly, but over here I go to a casual "come as you are" kind of church so my jeans are fine. The associate pastor usually wears jeans to preach, although he will dress it up with a crisp shirt and often a tie. Come summer with really hot days, all bets are off and we come in sundresses, knee shorts, cargo pants, sandals and linen anything because 1. like most buildings in (usually chilly) Northern Germany we are not equipped with air conditioning, and 2. it's kinda silly to think Jesus cares whether or not you came to church in a church suit and Sunday hat (though I love the look so mushy ); those are rules of our own making as human beings and frankly it's not going to count for much come Judgement Day lol

Funny that you should say this. During last night's episode, the wine vineyard guy asked the ladies to volunteer any stories about their exes. Nobody said anything at first and when the camera scanned all of their faces, I thought Mayte looked downright strickened. She had the "clutch the pearls" stance. Finally Sherree told a funny story about Will from his Prince of Belair days. That seemed to satisfy the request and then things moved along. But I had the impression that Mayte wouldn't tell anything. Not sure if she does that out of respect, fear, legal compulsion etc. She had that looked that said "no way".

Well...if Mayte isn't willing to spill the beans, then her mom sure is willing to. I saw on the preview for next week's episode that Andrea is going to ask Mayte's mom if she liked Prince. Mayte's mom is going to say "professionally, I loved him, but personally....(she takes her foot and slams it down like she's squashing a bug)"...I was like popcorn So I'll definitely be tuning in next week. lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

No, Golden she is really boring in every interview I have seen her in. It is actually very hard to watch her sometimes, because she is so boring and has no personality (she has had some cringeworthy/awkward moments, so much so that I actually felt bad for her). It actually has nothing to do with Prince, just from watching the Bethaney clip, they rarely talked about the exes, so she could have participated in the conversation, so shrug

Did she stop loving him personally after he cut them off financially? She should take that same shoe and beat herself with it lol

This is why I love people when they get old. They just get to a certain age when they say what they want to say and don't give a damn falloff

I'm surprised no one has mentioned last night's episode. What was up with Mayte (and Andrea) fawning over the owner of the vineyard? Dude was NOT sexy. The only sexy thing about that balding man was the fact that he owned a vineyard. To me, it did make Mayte look like a gold digger. She was going gaga over this guy who, imo was not very interesting. Everyone knows I've always loved Mayte and have supported her but she is starting to look like she cares only about finding a sugar-daddy and I don't like it. In fact, these spoiled bitches are getting on my nerves. The only one I'm loving right now is Eddie Murphy's ex and I didn't know ANYTHING about her before this show. The rest of them are just looking like obnoxious gold diggers. confused

I don't think Mayte is a gold digger. I think she's just lonely and desperate. She's two years away from 40, she lives with her mom and a bunch of animals and she wants to have a baby. AND Prince is her ex. I've seen a lot less make women a lot more desperate. Personally, this show makes me feel for Mayte in a way I never have before. Being with Prince messed her up because it's obvious she still loves him. I wouldn't doubt it if a not so small part of her still harbored hope that they will eventually get back together, which is why she's probably not spilling like she should/could. It took me 5 years to get over someone, and he wasn't even close to being Prince (ok, 7, but i spent 5 years of that in denial so don't judge.)

Ok I can see that. I DO think that she loved Prince sincerely and wholeheartedly and I do think she meant FOREVER. I meant golddigger now, as in , since she's been with a rich guy she doesn't want no poor guy now but I could be wrong. I'm just not liking the way the shows going with the private jets, vineyards, "Gucci rescended my discount- boo hoo" it's starting to look like some spoiled ass brats. And I can understand not getting over someone too. I get that. But if she ever hopes to get back with Prince, she has GOT to drop that damn Mani- that has got to be pissing him off to no end!

yeah, I agree with you. I think being with the pinnacle (by some standards) at such an early age... what else can you do but "go down" in caliber of available men.

And I absolutely agree that she still loves Prince. And I think if he wanted to get back with her, she would. Just like Jessica wanted to get back with Jose.

I get that. But if she ever hopes to get back with Prince, she has GOT to drop that damn Mani- that has got to be pissing him off to no end!

that will NEVER happen. Prince hardly gets back with old bandmembers.

an old love??? ohgoon

I feel for Mayte .This show isn't doing any of these women any favors. They're coming across as bitter. The constant no more private jets, gucci and everything else is nerve racking.Mayte seems to be the only one who now excepts her life now.I just think she dosen't fit in with the other women.

I don't get that from Andrea or Nicole.

Maybe Sherree... her energy tends to be negative... and the same for Jessica (self destructive).

Andrea seems not bitter AT ALL. She comes across as ready to move on with her life... she jsut wants to erase the wasted years being Mrs. Nobody (because she was NOT even KNOWN as Mrs. R. Kelly) and pick up where her dream left off.

Mayte is still looking for her prince. (honestly no pun was intended at all! I was thinking of the Disney movies of the girl meeting a prince who makes everything better.

Nicole is straight, and seems the most unbitter, and most well adjusted of them all.

Jessica... self destructive. She seems to be a daredevil. Except she is a mother of a teenager. Just doesn't seem to have it together, and doesn't care that she doesn't.

Sheree doesn't seem bitter, she seems judgmental and broke to tell you the truth

Well...if Mayte isn't willing to spill the beans, then her mom sure is willing to. I saw on the preview for next week's episode that Andrea is going to ask Mayte's mom if she liked Prince. Mayte's mom is going to say "professionally, I loved him, but personally....(she takes her foot and slams it down like she's squashing a bug)"...I was like popcorn So I'll definitely be tuning in next week. lol

was that about Prince? I thought it was about Mayte's date on next episode?

When I saw the preview, that's the impression that I got...then again, the previews sometimes are very misleading.

The guy that Mayte is going to go out with? :-J Chocolate jelly donut. They don't even look like they would fit well together. lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

the fact that anyone would even think that is the aim of all this, lawd.... lol

Thanks for the link. I think I missed this thread because I read articles I've never seen before.

And I didn't know there were so many different women rumored to be in the mix toward the end of Mayte and Prince's marriage.

Mel B (Scary Spice), Ananda Lewis from VH1, the lady who played Mayte's part in the greatest romance ever sold video.

In fact, no where was Mani's name even mentioned. I guess she was just one of the masses, and she just stood out from the rest.

wow! why bother getting married?

Well, he did say he wanted to annul his marriage to her because he didn't believe in contracts and his "contract" with her rmade him feel liked he owned her because she was his wife and he eventually had to get over that and realize she is a child of God

That's another thing and I'm glad Mayte cleared that on the show. They did NOT have an annullment. They got a DIVORCE. You can't get an annullment unless the marriage was NOT consummated. They definitely consummated and they were married for 3-4 years.

Now I don't believe alot of these reality shows, in fact I believe alot of them are contrived. This is the only show that seems more authentic to me, but that's the one of the parts of the shows I wonder is it contrived/the producers put in there, Is the chinaware Mayte has with Prince's symbol for real? Is she really still hanging to Prince in anyway because I had the impression before this show that she would've freed herself of anything related to him.

I've watched two episodes and maybe I'm in the minority on this (or maybe somebody else has pointed it out) but.....why is Mayte still talking about the death of her baby and why is she keeping Prince's old clothes? It strikes me as not only weird but like she hasn't fully moved on. The other thing about this show is that, with the exception of Eddie Murphy's wife and Mayte, none of these women are really known. They seem to make an issue out of being and ex-wife but the fact remains that they've been divorced for some time. Who was checking for these broads?

On top of it all....Will Smith's wife has remarried so why the hell is she even on the show? Isn't that disrespectful to your current husband that you latch on to the image and residual fame from your first husband?

And R.Kelly's wife looks like a dude with a really bad boob job. Meh....Eddie's ex has a bad boob job too. That's totally in violation of LA cosmetic surgery rules and regulations.

sad hug I'm sorry to hear about that, starafree. You never really, truly get over the loss of a child. I can't imagine losing one baby, but two is even harder. sad I kind of suspected all along that that second baby Mayte lost was with Tommy Lee.

First let me say I lost twins 7 days after they were born so i know that pain.My point is now prince will be asked if he does any interviews. Why dosen't she talk about the lost child with tommy.

I saw that too, and thought to myself, "Damn, Mayte's mom is going to call Prince out on some things". lol I'm definitely going to tune in to see it as well. I'm interested in hearing what Mayte's mom has to say about her ex son-in-law. tv

RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I thought she aborted Tommy's seed but maybe it was just a miscarriage.

Mani had a miscarriage too with P. There I said it. I pledged to keep it a secret but its a common occurrence with women going through a first pregnancy and I would hope no woman ever thinks its her fault or feels hopeless and helpless. Mayte will make a great mother some day I can feel it.

I will believe that it was a miscarriage OVER her aborting a child any day. That woman wants a child badly...even if it had to be with Tommy Lee's need-a-shower ass.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

well, Pamela Anderson claims she got hepatitis from him after sharing a tattoo needle...

about this show, I am watching but not much has happened...I don't care about seeing them live the high-life blah blah. I want the tea on their ex hubbys. At the very least some of these ladies are beautiful and I don't mind staring at them lol
