More than likely, she took him back to court because she didn't get something from him that she was supposed to.

The judgment when the dissolution was granted would have the bulk of/main provisions of who gets what and how. This is probably just some follow-up thing/amount.

If two people live together and the guy is a lawyer and the woman stays at home and keeps the house in order and raises some kids, I'm all for a settlement. But Mani had how much money in her bank account before they got married? Was she cleaning the house and washing the car? No, that's what the maids did. So how exactly does she deserve all this cash? How is this Prince getting off easy.

Again, as genesia, I and others have stated - this ain't all she got. It's just some little follow-up/leftover amount.

That's not a lot of money ... although ... but it's still not a lot.

I'm just shocked how young she is, born in '78. I thought she was a little older. She was already divorcing Prince at age 27. How long were they married? He married her in her early 20's -- Prince is so ridiculous!!

Ole girl got more than that she cleaned up, but also took apart of his dignity with her. I think Prince really thought this trick loved him and then he started to see the light. I think she tricked him by saying she was pregnant. Like I said I do remember like around 2000 or 2001 hearing Tom Joyner say that Prince was moving to Canada to be with his pregnant wife. I think he fell for the Okie Doke Ole girl got divorced in what 2006 and just remarried in 2011-she got broke off some change.

The relative swiftness of the proceedings, and that his counsel withdrew before final judgment, also lead me to think there was a pre-nup. Because even if they agreed to everything, like Prince conceeded everything or Manuela conceeded (highly unlikely), it would still take longer than that without a pre-nup, considering the kind of assets and amounts involved. Unless courts and attorneys in MN are quicker than in CA, which is another possibility.

most celebs have pre-nups its crazy to sign away ur money if u dont. But it can still get messy when kids r involved with all the child support

She should have gotten $2.00!

There are a couple of interesting things about this. The case was sealed on 7/11/2006. That is standard procedure when dealing with high profile clients. But if it was sealed, why is the amount of the payment public knowledge? It should not be.

I noticed that Mani was represented by a Mr. Winer, and Prince is pro se, meaning he is representing himself. There is a notice of withdrawal of counsel on 11/18/2009. It looks like Prince's attorney withdrew.
