About a year or so ago,we heard about plans to make a movie about Vanity 6.They even picked the actress who would play Vanity.But we have not heard any other details.....has it been cancelled? Did Prince get his lawyers involved and stopped it from happening??

Born Krystal Lucricia Rivera to a Puerto Rican and Black father and a Puerto Rican and St. Thomian mother, the exotic young siren embodies the sultry spirit that once defined Vanity. The filming of the "V6" movie is expected to begin in New York City in late 2010.

I was wondering about this movie the other day too. Maybe (like the Hendrix movie) they couldn't get the rights for the music? Or maybe Vanity's people had something to do with halting the film?

If it's unauthorized then they should be able to say or do anything. I'd like to see it.

What would it be? Vanity giving a sermon?

She's a preacher now so I can't see this happening............LOL

it's possible that Deniece and Prince stopped the production of this film

I had this vanity 6 lp that I bought at circle sky records 5 years ago when they had the dollar sale and now, I cant find this lp in my collection anywhere. I remember my dad used to BLAST this cassette when it first came out and I loved this cassette so much that my grandma has a picture of me and my dad in 1982/83 with me holding up the vanity 6 cassette and I bought that lp for nostalgia and old memories and now, I cant find it anywhere.
