Back in March, I went to see Rachelle Ferrell in concert at the Catalina Jazz Club in LA. To my surprise, Sheila E. was in the audience! After the show, I walked up to her, and asked for a photo and an interview. I looked a hot mess in the photo, so please know it's buried in my friend's iphone photo stream. But check out my interview because it turned out great! Shout out to Sheila E. for keeping her word. Not many people say "Get in touch with me," and really mean it. But she did. I will be forever grateful for that. It's so nice to meet talented people you admire, who are actually as authentic as they appear to be. Sheila E. was so kind and down-to-earth. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself!
