It was in St. Lucia. If you look up Bobby Sparks and St. Lucia on youtube you'll find a clip he made of his arrival there. Towards the end there is a few minutes of the end of Sheila's set (Glamorous Life).
She did Erotic City with the words, but she sang "funk".
Wow. thank you!
I always wondered how much it woudl cost to hire Sheila for a party..... like are we talkign $10K, $50K, $100K etc. Looks like she had her whole band there too.
Who is "STANLEY"..... that was the person having the party right? Stanley Clarke?
I have no idea how much it would cost. Apart from the performancefee I guess you'll also have to pay for transport, food and hotelrooms. So that would add up, I suppose. She had her whole band with her and a personal assistent. Also playing at the party were Lalah Hathaway (Bobby Sparks is in her band) and Gerald Albright, Peter White and Rick Braun (all big names in the smooth jazz scene).
Stanley is not Stanley Clarke. He is a local guy, very successfull in the shipping industry. |

The Jazz cafe holds up to 350 people. And even if it were only 25, I fail to see why that would be sad. |

It's sad because after the cost of flying her and her band to the UK along with the equipment, not to mention hotel costs, whatever money is made from ticket sales will porbably be used to pay for all the expenses. I'd be surprised if they even make a profit. |

Oh, horseshit. Yeah, I'm sure a little venue that only holds 350 people is better than the O2, Earls Court Arena, or Wembly Stadium. |

Only a knobhead would enjoy seeing an act at a big venue in preference to a small one.
The Jazz Cafe isn't a cafe...why comment on something you have no clue about? [Edited 6/4/12 8:15am] |

She's playing there 2 days before a festival date in Switzerland. If not enough people turn up, it will be the promoter taking the heat, not her. |

The last few times yes she did. They were selling the E-Family CD and if you bought it she'd sign it.
She was also selling some old tour stuff and as well. the line is VERY LONG
Cool I shall be making that line one person longer
She signs her name backwards. I was very surpised to see this after she signed a CD and drumsticks for me! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
