I saw this mentioned on twitter earlier and got really excited, but obviously a mistake.

Did anyone else notice how Funkenberry did the countdown to posting the track accompanied with Days Of Wild lyrics? & the first tweet was misleading, saying the track was called' Days Of Wild/Loose', it even said it on the post .. then he changed the title like it didn't even happen

Did Prince set this all up to tease us? 
Yeah, I was thinking maybe he sent Mutiny to FDeluxe but Days of Wild to Funkenberry but there was a mix up some road. Dr sounded mighty excited as if it was Days of wild. Something may have went awry here. If he's got Days of Wild in the bag then  ... I'll, I'll... I don't know what I'll do!! Ha ha[Edited 4/23/12 12:44pm] | |

They explained that "Days of Wild & Loose" was what the file that was sent to them was called and said they thought it was a strange name too - a little tongue in cheek, I'm sure, as yes, it's almost certainly a mistake or else a tease on Prince's part.
I imagine that the file went out to everyone incorrectly named. Doc F fixed it as soon as he realised, whereas Fdeluxe left it - maybe because they didn't technically have 'authority' to change the name, or maybe because they knew it would create a bit of intrigue (or maybe just the slightest little bit of payback).

I enjoyed Prince's 'Dance Electric' rehearsal jam recently but I'm not too keen on 'Days Of Wild And Loose'. I don't think merging Mutiny with Ice Cream Castles really works.... | |

Maybe it's a play on words. Two songs from the "days of" Wild & Loose - as in, the song by The Time.
Or maybe he is actually rehearsing "Days of Wild" and "Loose", which would be exciting given that he rarely plays much from the Come/TGE era these days.
Guess we'll have to wait and see. |
