Personally, I do not see Wendy and Lisa going on tour with Prince. Not because they wouldn't want to, but they would not put their very successful careers on hold just to do a tour with Prince.

They work contantly. They have contracts with the shows that they compose scores for. They just can't up and leave all of that.

You're probably right. Unless a promoter puts up big money--enough to make it worthwhile for both the Revolution and Prince--a tour won't happen. It's the same reason Ringo and Paul never tour together as 1/2 of the Beatles. Paul can sell out stadiums without Ringo and thus doesn't need his help, and Ringo can make more money touring on his own.

However, I still think there may be a one-off show at some point that includes Prince and whatever Revolution members are still around when he makes up his mind to do it.

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

hope that the bit about being friends is true as Wendy didn't sound too impressed in the post gig interview - the quote about 'our beacon...'etc. On every level, P not showing up AND showing his face was wrong. I don't care about the dinner before or any 'well done' messages he may have sent after. He turned into a prima-donna event and made it all about him in the run up and not about a great casue.

What interview was that?

It was posted on the Org here somewhere. She seemed very annoyed that he didn't show. The other band members were annoyed as well, but Wendy was the most vocal about it. Kind of like her character in Purple Rain.

Change the band name, record an album, put on red scarves and stupid hats, refer to one another as Flora Flora and go on tour. In other words, please do whatever it takes.

I'm too lazy to search through the site for it... but I do remember that night of the performance she said several times "We are a sentimental band. WE are" with an emphasis on that "we" with clear implication that there was someone else who was not.

I've seen the FB posts...I have read the posts here...

This is what I think:

While the message seems to put the band to bed...it does pose a few theories:

When saying the REVOLUTION is not to be revisited, and also stating that it will forever be known as PRINCE and THE REVOLUTION, the following comes to mind (and I am quite aware that ALL of these things have been said by others here...but I wanna talk too):

The Revolution sans Prince will never happen again. End of story.

The Revolution sans Prince will never happen again in the guise of it's name. Another project could come from it and be the start of something new.

The Revolution sans Prince will never happen again. But Prince and the Revolution could possibly get back together.

In truth? It could really go either way.

This I why I feel this. With the argument that Wendy and Lisa having busy schedules in the scoring side of life can be managed with the use of modern technology now. They could literally tour and compose at the same time. Not saying that it wouldn't be draining, but it's not like they haven't done this type of schedule before.

Now of course on our buddy Prince. Chances are, because of history on how he is, probably more than likely he will NOT do something like this. BUT...he kinda thrives on doing what you won't think he will do (and less be honest...we as Prince fans have become rather pessimistic and jaded, as I've observed). So basically saying: if you want a Prince and the Revolution reunion, you probably won't get it. BUT, if think that he WON'T do it, he just might.

I am like most, I want the whole shebangabang reunion to jump off. That would be monumental for a lot of people, especially me, who started doing music BECAUSE of this band. But Prince is either stuck in his ways in terms of behavior, or genuinely happy where he is at in this point in his career, and a reunion is less-than-likely. But he friggin should. Him getting back with them all is possibly the MOST REVOLUTIONARY thing that he could do. These people have branched out and done other things, the sould would be the same but with a different edge.

I simply say never...and nothing at all at the same time. If it happens...we shall be some happy people. If not...the wordsream rages on.

I'll take a hike now...
