Jesse Johnson's Wax Poetic story Of all the stories in the new Wax Poetics Prince mag tribute. The Jesse story next to Alan Leeds' pieces was most interesting. For years the impression was given the Jesse and P's relationship was a strained one. But in the last couple of yrs. interviews have been given where it seemed Jesse and Prince were actually much closer than stories had been reported. However I wish the article had gone a little deeper into Jesse's work on his side projects. Whenever stories are done on Jesse they always leave that part of his work or catalog out.

I've read almost every story in this issue BUT that one, I'm saving that one for last. I'm sure it's good. "Do you really know what love is?"

To be honest, this story and, of course, Alan Leeds and his wife's story are the only two interesting stories in the mag. Well, let me count the Madhouse article too, though I read that online last month. Still a decent article, though. But that was it. If anything, they should've made it a COMPLETE Prince edition and not had articles about Frank Ocean, Blood Orange, DJ Quik, and Toro y Moi. Larry Graham's article was a complete rehash/compilation of older Larry interviews, and Morris's was nothing new, especially in the light of the interviews and documentary O7 has done for their recent release .
