Susie Davis , Sheila E's former keyboard player :

Remember Susie Davis ( the red head ) formerly of Sheila E's band , well she have toured and played with everyone in the business and is still teaching music classes to students in Schools Of Art , nationwide :

Susie Davis' return visit to Glenn Appell's history of Rock and R&B classes

Susie Davis

Popular music historian and DVC professor Glenn Appell’s history of Rock and R&B classes were recently treated to a return appearance by Bay Area singer, songwriter and performer extraordinaire, Susie Davis.

Ms Davis has toured with such legendary artists as Prince, Mick Jagger, Sheila E, Billy idol, Van Morrison, Sinead O'Connor, and many others. Armed with videos of her tours and reading from her personal journals, Susie painted a vivid portrait of life on the road for a woman rocker.

Susie’s charismatic style and personal biography has been a winning formula for Appell’s classes over the last few semesters and he looks forward to having her return soon.

That's cool! Thanks for info. I took a history of rock (or was it history of "popular music"?) in college, as well as history of jazz. Those were great classes. Didn't have awesome guest speakers like this, though!

She's great.I'm pretty sure that she's the one who adds those strong vocals to "Faded Photographs",especially during the chorus.

I've always wondered about the vocals on "Pride and the Passion" too. I wonder if that's her.

And I like that she gets called out on "Boys Club."

She's very talented. I was glad to get to see her at the Family Jamm concert years ago.

I saw her play with Billy Idol but wasn't sure it was her at the time. I hadn't known her last name and her look was a little more rock and roll than it was with Sheila E.'s band.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

About 7 years ago I was in the Bay Area for work and I took some lessons from her. She was really great!

She showed up at Sheila's birthday gig last December.

Very cool lady.
