LOVE & SUPPORT TO JESSE-COMPENSATE NOT CONDENSATE!

I am loving how Jesse hit back...and hit back hard against his critics. How is it that we are allowed to post any kind of crap / personal attacks on the famous with an assumption that they should just take it?. I wish P would do the same, although his revenge was to take away ticket priveleges away from the purple community!!.sad

It is a shame that Jesse and 07 fell out over $, maybe Condensate should be retitled as

COMPENSATE!!. Lets hope that a life time of friendship will overcome the $.

Jesse should know how much love and respect he has had for years amongst Prince fans and I am sure most of us wish him well with the tour with D'.

Come on, show the man with the killer axe skills some big love!.

It seems that none of them were making any money, not just Jesse. From Jesse's comments, it doesn't seem they were ripping him off, they just didn't have any work planned, and he couldn't afford to sit around and wait. Morris, Monte, & Jellybean are still doing gigs as Morris Day and The Time to make money. Someone posted in another thread that Morris did a solo show without the band. Jellybean is also playing with FDeluxe. It's doubtful Jimmy & Terry need the money as much as the rest of the group.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I posted that as well.......They ALL have other projects/side hustles. So why hold Jesse back?? If there was nothing planned, then get that bread & expand that resume', which is EXACTLY what Jesse's doin'!!!!!! Hopefully the stars align & we'll see the OG 7ven again!!!!!

cool cool cool cool cool cool cool

I seem to have hit the nail on the head when I mentioned the word "charity" in another thread. Jesse is in, excuse me... was in, a group with millionaires and he figured they should ASSUME that, if there was no profit coming in yet, then he'd like some free cash out of their pockets thank you very much. When they told him there wasn't a deal in place for a tour, he stewed. Then he popped-off on Facebook. But when they reached out to him to resolve the situation... he didn't respond. Now it's too late. But he's still talking ish about them on Facebook. D'Angelo threw him a bone, he should take it and shut up, because, he's a drag, and Morris truly doesn't need him.

Jesse acts weird on stage. Tori can play Jesse's part and he puts on a show.

I saw 4 shows of the D'angelo European Tour 2012. 2 with Jef Lee, 2 with Jesse.

All of them were the best Soul Funk Concerts i have seen for a veeeeery long time!

D's show was a perfect tribute to black music finest moments of the last 40 years... and of course in the trademark style of Mr. Archer! Hendrix, James Brown, Sly, Funkadelic, Marvin, Prince and maybe more combined with essential hip hop/ rap/ neosoul whatever... all in one. Black Music at its finest.

D' got the Funk, the rawness, the dirtyness, the ecstasy, the sex, the realness, the voice, the skills, the charisma, the classics... to perform a 2h+ show where a highlight follows to another... AND with so much blues and gospel! Blacker then Black!

Jesse Johnson made the right decision! He fits so good in that D'Angelo movement! And he enjoyed it to the fullest! At least that was what I have seen on stage. Verbal Penetration shows perfectly where Jesse Johnson is located at the moment. To have Jesse as the leadguitarist of D'Angelo is like the wildest dream come thru (.. at least for me!). Perfect!

VP is so much deeper and serious than Condensate! And I mean this not necessarly lyricswise...

Even I like the very unique guitar playing of Jef Lee Johnson I have to say: Jesse catapulted the shit onemogin to another level!

But what I wanted to say: I had a short talk with Jesse in Amsterdam. He's a veeery friendly person. I took a photograph with him and he signed my records. Very cool!

Jesse is still moving forward as an artist... at least VP and BMNS are both very strong, individual and up to date records.

Of course I'd like to see The O7!!!!!!!!!! But this was better! no doubt! far better!

I hope Jesse stays with D'Angelo! Because that D'Angelo Funk is BAD! Honest, real, modern... containing the quintessence of last 40 years Black Music!

And to all the JJ haters here: ("acts weird on stage..."...WTF!?!?!?)

finger wall finger wall finger3 beatdeadhorse tonk hammer johnwoo johnwoo johnwoo bomb uzi chainsaw machinegun punch shoot shoot2 shoot3 saw missile laser chair boxing fryingpan cheese

Jesse Johnson is a one of a kind guitarist! One of the best! Jesse, you made the right decision!

Funk it hard & F**k all the backstabbers, snitches, wannabeinsiders!

Folks, go and grab yourself one of the latest P-boots and listen to: Play that funky music....

(Imagine Prince covering "Good to your earhole" or "maggot brain".... that's the vibe of a D'Angelo Show!)

Well said spitty. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's happy to Jesse with D. Jesse is bring that raw Jimi/blues/Funkadelic sound to D's band.

It's too bad things didn't work out with The Time, but oh well. Let's be glad Jesse is back out there playing his guitar to the people.

Not to me. I enjoyed Jesse's solo set. No dis to Tori, but Tori can't give you that. I went to see the OG 7 curious to see if Jesse would perform his stuff, and he did.
