The thing about The Revolution Reunion Is it getting much attention at all from the general public. I.e., people outside the Prince fan community? | |

I do not think anyone expected more than what it has received so far. This is Bobby's thank you to his fans, and likewise fans thanking Bobby back, and it's all for a great cause. It's a beautiful thing.
I do not think it was ever intended to be a mainstream media extravaganza. I think this has been a success even before anyone has played a single note. It's about the love. And that's what has impressed me the most. Forget what anyone else thinks.

It's billed as a first annual, so it sounds like they're just going to see how this goes, and next year, have a clearer idea of what to do with it. Mayo Clinic's based out of Minneapolis, so it is a "go to" location for the medical community.
I think with Prince's consent for the font and the Revolution name being used, should help a lot. Part fanfest, part raising awareness. Win/win.
