What do you mean by like? You mean how they play bass or how they look?
Anyways I always liked Rhonda...but Ida's close 2nd because I like her clothes more. (Not ashamed of sounding ignorant by saying...) Who the heck is Josh?

I mean how they play bass. Josh Dunham was Prince's bass player in the 3121 band. 2 whomever it may concern, u must come 2 ur senses. There r no kings on this Earth, only princes.

Sonny T. Hands down. He only played at a few shows, and only on a few tracks, but he's the real deal.

I really liked Sonny T.
Josh made no impression on me.
I prefer Rhonda over Ida... I really like her solo work. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I think the thing with Ida so far is we haven't been introduced to her thru tv performances or videos yet, like the others, we only know her via the tour(if u've been) and pictures

I think you may be thinking of someone else.
Sonny played bass with Prince for about 5 or 6 years. Taking in many tours/aftershows and also played bass on many tracks on 8 albums.

Josh. He was not the flashiest, nor the most well known here on the ORG, but he had the best chops in my opinion. He is also the ONLY person listed to have his own signature bass line. For a working musician, this is an incredible honor.

Indeed. I actually had the chance to meet him when he toured w/Prince on those "Tamar" shows. Dude was and still is mad cool ! Unlike Prince's past musicians...the current crop post Rhonda....hadn't really been "introduced" as the others were. Josh did get a feature in "Bass PLayer" magazine. But as I have said in the past...to get the Prince gig and keep it for your 3-6yr run you must be like that!

They all have different strengths. I think history kinda tilts the appreciation more to Rhonda certainly because he gave her a lot more spotlight and a lot more opportunity to solo in concert than he ever gave Josh, whatever the reason for that. Josh improved a lot from the first shows up until the LotusFlow3r gigs, like a LOT (IMO). Ida, we're all still getting to know her, but everything I've seen her do up to this point tells me she's extremely talented and with time we'll see the extent of that. Change it one more time..

No, he's got the right person. Technically, Sonny has indeed played with Prince in the past 10 years, most recently during a couple of LotusFlow3r shows and TV appearances back in 2009.
