Shelia E's Brother? Hey Y'all.
I don't really know if this thread goes here, but I'll give it a shot.
I was wondering, does anyone have any pictures of Shelia E's brother. I know he played in her band in the 80s on the congos (?). I remember he was tall and good looking with like a skunk stripe in his hair and glasses.
Does anyone have any pics of him from the 80s else alone or with the band?

Do you mean Pete Escovedo Jr.? I saw him perform with Sheila E. last year and he looks better than he did years ago IMO. Here is Pete Jr.:

Peter Michael Escovedo used to be in the house band for Martin Short when he had his own talk show. I remember one day I caught the tail end of one particular episode and I saw a very familiar looking female on the bass guitar and I remember thinking: "Nah! My mind must be playing tricks on me." Upon closer inspection I noticed that it was indeed Rhonda Smith. Turned out that she was in the band as well. I watched the show all the time after that. Mind you this was back in 1999/2000 when she left the NPG for a little while and Larry Graham stood in for her. That reminds me, I remember seeing an episode where Sheila gave an interview. Then afterwards she played a drum solo and Peter Michael kept interrupting her by blowing air into an empty water bottle and she was getting all frustrated. | |

You're thinking of Juan Escovedo or Juan E. as he was known back then. When  go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all  up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! | |
