Great gig last night! Never thought I'd see it happen....That Madhouse interlude truly FUNKED!! Shame I didn't witness the meet and greet but had to catch my train. Did they really play 'Beautiful You'? I can't remember it (memory of a goldfish). Hopefully FDELUXE revisit these shores again in the not too distant future.

Excellent gig! As others have said, it was well worth the wait and I can bet that was The Gig of the tour. I would really like to see/ listen to this show again. Did anyone hear Oliver sneaking a bit of Jesse Johnson during one of his solos?

Band: Mario Dawson - drums JP DeLaire - keyboards Oliver Leiber - guitar Jellybean Johnson - guitar Eric Leeds - saxophone St Paul - bass/vocals Susannah - vocals
They straight up tore it up. Hit the stage about 9.45 ish and played for about 90 minutes. The setlist was everything you'd want from them - a solid, well-ordered selection of the new album and the original. Personal highlights were the extended funk workout of "Drummers and Healers" with some great audience participation led by Eric Leeds, hearing them run through Madhouse's "13", a brilliant version of "Nothing Compares 2 U", and an awesome encore of "The Screams of Passion" and "Mutiny".
I put a few photos up on G+, just cellphone pix so nothing amazing but still worth a look if you're interested, so click the link in my sig to see.

Ah no way. Yeah, that's right where I was.
There was one lady that must have recognised me from here, as she looked at me and asked "Are you Militant?", and I nodded. But I didn't catch her screenname. |

If anyone has a spare copy of the Drummers & Healers CD single that they picked up last night, please message me - I know it's unlikely, but I'm gutted that I didn't see it

Brilliant gig, I was taken aback how good it was. Jellybean, St Paul, Eric and the others band members are so talented and their energy playing was 10/10 it was funky and Susannah's (shes hot) voice was amazing. Best gig I've been to in a very long time loved it. And it was great meeting them afterwards, Jellybean was a sweetie. Congrats to them they rocked it in London!
You know they're such talented musicians and fab to watch I really don't know how Prince could let these musicians and his other old band members go like that...wish they were in the current NPG instead!

^ ^ ^ Yes bean was a sweetie ! I thought so 2 , I prob managed 2 talk 2 him the most , he was a gentle-man & kissed my hand , I asked him if he & the fella's would come & gig here again (the '90 gig was soo much fun) . I got shy with eric & paul , only managed 2 say thank you ! I spoke 2 susanah about dancing , they were all down 2 earth & happy we came. The gig itself was great , all of them are excellent musicians , the drummer's good 2 , susanah's vocals where better than I expected. I'm glad they played the vigil , lover , desire , & ended the night with my jam - mutiny !!! Would of liked 2 hear @8 tho. All in all a must see nite , happy I could be there. I saw some footage on the web of these gigs. If they came through my city, I would definitely go. The Revolution + fDeluxe + The Time +Mazarati would be an amazing gig. They put on a great set.
