I'm pretty sure part of if not most of that was Prince. He hit a lick from "Feel U Up" in there. That was the giveaway.

Really? Well I did feel it was Prince for the most part because his guitar playing is way more skilled than Andy. She just has MAD looks! Haha. It's Button Therapy, Baby!

So true.
Whenever Prince's GFs are discussed, I always think of that thread where someone put side by side pictures comparing the women Prince wanted, and the ones he actually got. Esparanza and Andy are eeriely similar. time flies.

I like this one. It´s not great but I think it doesn´t even claim that it is. It´s good for what it is and the original song is one of my favorite (didn´t really like the album version with George Clinton though). At least you can hear a bit of a melody or similarity with the original here, unlike Extraloveable. The lyric changes and title are unnecessary. But it´s good for what it is and I enjoy listening to it. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Very beautiful. But how do I describe this...It's soothing but not sensual...a bit dry And...did she have to say "pretty girls like you make boys like me turn to fool?"...it just ruined the whole flow of the song [Edited 12/3/11 13:49pm]

I like it.
To me the tekst is very lovey and happy with only one or two sentences about 'I'm scared'. She sings the whole songs in her raspy drama tone, though. I think that is perfect for the dramatic songs (Amy Winehouse tribute it worked very well), however, I think I would also love a version of this song hearing her singing it with a more lighter tone. When she sings about 'when we kiss' or something like that, her tone is exactly how I would think the whole song could be sung.
I'm happy she still using her own name. What I liked about Andy before Prince, was her video on the roof top and her friends looking like a Benetton add. I really liked that eclectic cultural blend. As if she was above that whole race discussion. Nowadyas it is stressed she is from Africa and that whole race thing seems to become part of her image and mentioned with her name in one sentence. I actually liked her lightness and care free attitude. Also, I thought she was an example of the 'new generation'. The generation that didn't have to be all focused on racial differences, however, able to enjoy eachothers' friendships. I hope that her African roots Andy the exotic princess isn't going to be her imago. I mean, I really adore Eryka, Esparanza, Sade etc. However, I really believed Andy was the first in a new direction. Women who are about singing, being herself, loving herself, allowing herself to make mistakes and laugh about a lot of things. True to themselves, however not stopped or hold back by racial differences. Or other background differences.
99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Just a reminder - I own the copyright on the more grammatically correct "&E" and "&e".
