I'm feelin' ya. The broader Prince fanbase, the ones who will go to Prince concerts but have no interest in his more, ahem, 'creative' directions would eat an album like this up from him. But in the meantime, congratulaions, to the O7 for bringing it high and tight.

Co-Sign I think some people forgot about a little cd called Sign Of The Times. I love the new Time CD but come the fuck on. P is bested himself about 5 times since 1984.

I was HOPING to hear the sound I came to love back in the day but got a pale imitation. 07 brought the sound and added contemporary production values (Prince has never been a big production guy - and that's not a knock). IMO of course.

Exactly. That wasn't even close to the REAL Minneapolis Sound. No bottom, no real feel. It was a joke, and Prince obviously doesn't think but so much of his fans to think it was automatically gonna be eaten up because it used Linn drum samples. That was the only ingredient present from the real Minny Sound, and it was poorly done at that.
