Most promising snippet for me so far: the title track "Condensate"!

Some of the previews sound dope as fuck. I'm sure I'll really dig at least 5 or 6 songs on there and that's good enough for me!!

Im diggin this! If I Was Yo Man should've been released this summer. Its def. a windows down, driving tune. Also feeling Lifestyle, Faithful, ...Partygirl, strawberry lake. Of course based on snippets alone. Im actually looking forward to this, and Im hoping they tour.

"If I Was Yo Man" definitely should be released as a single.

A few were just okay (from the snippets) but the funk rock tracks are gonna kick ass! A couple had STRONG Sly & The Family Stone influences. I heard some James Brown influence in there, too.

After one listen to the samples wayyyyyy underwhelmed

No wonder Prince didnt want them using the name The Time

Although it is really cool to see the entire band back together

Previews sound less like THE TIME and more like inspired classic funk and soul with a 2011 twist. I'm excited because we are getting Morris Day at the top of his game. I wanted straight Minneapolis Funk, but we are getting something MORE than that. I never imagined The Time making tracks like this, they have opened up a new avenue for themselves. I can't wait for the album to come out.

I think the album is fun and poppy. Nothing "Funky" about it. It is fun youthful pop with a 90's flavor.

I think it will be a good album, but nothing that I will be downloading. Doesn't really intrest me.

If I happen to hear "Cadilac" on the radio a few times, cool. But that's about as interested in this collection I can get. I sounds fun, but it's not my thing.

Strawberry Lake and If I Was Yo Man are amazing.

^Wow, I'd think, those two are very weak. "Strawberry lake" sounds too much like a poppy Sly Stone rip off. Horrible! "If I was yo man" is the kind of cheesy melody pop I can't stand at all.

It's The Time. Duh.

I think all the songs sound amazing. Sounds like they grew alot as musicians by trying new sounds but keeping the same elements that make them The Time. But im disappointed in hearing "Hey Yo"

"Won't be no stoppin, baby once we get it poppin'" . I refuse to judge until I hear the whole thing, but that track is REALLY new school.

I'm sure if they made an album that sounded exactly like their 1980's music, people here would say they're stuck in the past or they can't come up with their own sound and can only copy Prince. Some of the comments here is like someone saying that because Helter Skelter doesn't sound like Love Me Do, then it doesn't sound like The Beatles.

Definitely not what I expected from The Time... it's isn't bad though. Strawberry Lake is my favorite of the snippets.

Well in a way, Jam & Lewis are responsible for some of today's sound, so technically it's theirs and so are not copying.

Those two sold out in the 1990s so I'm not surprised the new Time album is sellout stuff also. Actually, I was expecting it to be a bunch of bullshit and would have been shocked if it wasn't. Prince is the only one left that still throws down these days and unfortunately, even he sells out on some tracks.

Jimmy, Terry, & Jesse worked on Chaka Khan's Funk This album and it was more of an older sound. One of the snippets on the new Original 7ven album sounds like Sly and the Family Stone, and that's not a "today's sound" either.
