No, seriously, I was just curious cause I couldn't hear it but now that NDRW points it out, it does kinda sound like My Perogative.

cool

Monte's solo was the highpoint for me. Trendy with a funk twist. I wish Jesse had a solo in this too though. Can't wait for the album!

Good music makes me happy.

I hated it at first.
Now it's kinda growing on me?

Now, i think the subject matter of the song is dumb and i hate that they're so overtly trying to be current, but the groove is starting to wear me down.

We can say whatever we want about the song, but that fact is: THE TIME IS BAAAAAACK and I'm luvin' it!!!! Cant wait for the CD. Hopefully this will be a renasance of QUALITY funk music played by REAL musicans. Thank goodness for that!!! And it's good for a change to hear the keyboard player get his props as well. WEW.............

Rather catchy song, but too slight, polished and not funky enough for my taste

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Boring and blatant hitparade-pop.

The Time have never been my favourite Prince-offspring band allready, too much pose, not enough authencity... this tune reconfirms that.

I already pre-orded it off Amazon. I hope they have the full DVD for sale later and not just the 30 min. one packaged with the CD. I'd go to the show in LA if I had the bucks. I hope they tour near me next year. wink

Hmm, I sort of like it, but it sounds a bit too much like contemporary stuff like "Judas" by Lada Gaga and not really like something you would expect from a 80s funk band (strangely enough I am seeing all kinds of vintage gear in the video). It's just too full of everything and the kick drum sounds too technoish for the track to be funky. The stuff that Prince did for them sounds much more like band recordings than this one.

Let's hope that they decided to release this contemporary sounding bullshit to pull in a buncha new fans and after they've got the attention of a whole new market they get back to doing what they do best- kick ass genuine funk.

Have you heard the title track?! They just posted it on their Facebook page and I can tell you that there's nothing "contemporary" about it.That song is hardcore Minneapolis funk!!

Got my copy ths afternoon and have been through one listen. There were a few passages where they had me spontaneously jammin' but overall I'm not sold yet.

The production seems too "thick." There's no space in this music. It's "wall of sound" style.

Maybe it will grow on me. I ain't sayin' it's bad music but compared to The Time classics I wouldn't rate it up top.
