Got mine today....freakin amazing...the sound is EXCELLENT.

I love the pic on the back cover, he looks a lot like Prince.

This is an example of how Prince's remasters should be - that sound quality is damn impressive!

I liked the album for years before, but this cd release really has breathed new life into those songs.

It would be cool to have the other two albums given the same treatment.

Does anyone know if anyone in the fan community was involved in this? Cherry Red are very open to suggestions and working with fans to get stuff remastered and re-released, so just wondered

His childhood friend and one-time bandmate PRINCE once described ANDRÉ CYMONE as “heaven sent”. Having grown up together and lived together, CYMONE played bass for PRINCE’s backing band in the days before it was called The Revolution.

Listening to it now. So funky.

It's awesome to finally hear this album in crystal clear quality!

My only complaint is that the artwork on a lot of these reissues from BBR looks kinda bootleggish.

Maybe they didn't have access to the original artwork and used scans of the LP/12" artwork itself? I've heard of this being done before when access to the original plates(?) was not available.

I have a few of their releases and you can definitely tell that they've done that with all of them. Even the CD itself is designed to look like an old record, complete with the record label's logo. Obviously they were trying to create replicas of the original LPs, which is cool.... but as I said it looks a bit dodgy.

I have a few of the earlier Cherry Pop releases (same parent label) and the CD prints are ugly, branded things with the label logo pattern - specifically Dead Or Alive and La Toya Jackson - very amateur looking. The more recent releases don't have this thankfully. The LP label design on these BBR ones are just fine with me.

They include liner notes and artwork of all the related singles, projects etc from the era. They definately put in time and effort - I think they do a good job considering no other label gives a hoot! I'm sure they do the best they can with the limited resources they have.

Does anyone else think "Fallin' Fallin'" sounds a bit rough? Like it might have been transferred from a poor vinyl copy maybe?

Listening now, sounds good to me...

It definitely sounds better than my own vinyl copy.
