Fdeluxe has announced an L.A. date with special guests Wendy & Lisa. The show will take place at Largo on September 23, 2011 at 8:30 P.M.

Hey peeps. We are sadly going to have to cancel Thursday night's show at largo in LA. Bean has a charity event he cannot get out of and without him it's not the same. You deserve to see the whole deal, not just 3/4 of it. I hope everyone who was coming Thursday night can come Friday instead. We are really looking forward to it.

Too bad they can't use the name "The Family" anymore (or feel like going through a legal wrangle over it with Prince). The name "FDeluxe" doesn't sounds as cool to me.

As much as I'd love to see them in my home area, Yoshi's East ticketing policy is LAME. Making the trip to L.A. to guarantee a good seat.

What up with that?!! You pay for a reserved seat but don't know what it is until you get to the venue?!! Why don't they have an interactive on-line map like Yoshi's SF?

Right? Not sure who would want to risk spending the money on any random seat?? Hoping "The Family" announce something for S.F., but L.A. will do just fine.

Here I was scrambling to find a way to get to LA for this show. Oakland is MUCH closer to home...but I still think I need to see both shows.

Does anyone know if they are doing a set or just sitting in with FDeluxe?

I hate to say this (esp on a public forum)... because I LOOOVVE W&L..... but I saw thir last show at Largo and was rather disappointed. THey only played 1 song from their first few albums and it sounded nothing like their original sound (they had re-arranged it). It was not funky at all.

I dragged my friend to it and still feel guilty about it! And if I go to Fdeluxe I want to bring him again but not if W&L doing the same set! LOL

I want to see Paul, Susannah and co. funk it out like they did at the Family Jamm.

Wendy & Lisa will be performing WITH the FDeluxe band and may do a few of their own songs during the set as well.

Just a warning, folks! If you go to the show, be careful who you are nice to. They might go internet crazy on you!
