So in Prince's 2004 interview on Much More Music, he gets asked how he picks members of his band, and he says that how he got Candy Dulfer is "interesting" or something & that she can tell it better. So I look her up - apparently she & her band were lined up to open for him in Holland in 1988, but he canceled on her, so she writes him a nasty letter saying how he messed up & missed the chance to see a girl "play her ass off." So he apologizes and they work together ever since. It's interesting, because it seems he doesn't mind if someone calls him out on stuff - there was another story on the org about a guy calling him a "lying MF" when he said he's never seen Hendrix, and he laughed and thought the guy was cool, they end up working together too.
