Best I could find. That looks like Fink on the keys. I'll ask him about it when I get a chance, I have him on Skype since I interviewed him for my documentary. |

Where did he perform? Usually there is some info on this kind of thing. Why is everyone being secretive?
Edit: So this was for the MN Urban Leagues Family Day. Pics? Vid clips? [Edited 8/29/11 18:24pm]

and a Sly Stone cover - "Dance To The Music"
And defo Bobby Z on drums and Dr Fink on keys. That also might be Fink's son to the left of him on keys.

The org is really weird when it comes to Andre Cymone. Out of all of the ex band members, he has been the most reclusive and yet nobody makes a big deal of it when he resurfaces. Strange. Its like the bots aren't sure if Prince would disapprove or something. I'd really like to hear what he's been up to all of these years.

I would too, but the fact that he turns up in Minneapolis, playing Larry Graham tracks makes me think I probably wouldn't be too impressed with the answer. He does sound good though.

Yeah. It's always the same crew in here.
Everyone seems to remember/like The Dance Electric for obvious reasons, but the rest of his catalog is overlooked.
I wonder why....

Still sounds good, and looks good too.

Because outside of Kelly's Eyes the rest of his tracks are not good. I have his albums and that is my opinion. I think the stuff he did was Jody Whatley was great and I think he is very talented.
But he has been reclusive and just is not that known in the Prince Fan world. Because he does not get mad love has nothing to do with anyone being a bot. I am happy to see this clip because I was begining to think he stopped playing music.

You are right. That is your opinion.

Are you happy you got the last shot. You really need to grow up.

I'm not really into Andre's past music either but would love to know what he's been doing all this time. I am fascinated with his early days with Prince and how they both grew up together and got into music. I find him to be very talented and hope there is new music on the way, I wold love to see him live, and ofcourse, a Prince and Andre reunion would be out of this world!!!

I agree. | |

Didn't Prince say on Tavis's show back in '09 that he and Andre were still friends? I wonder how true that really is and just how much they communicate.

Oh Andre
I've been itching to see and hear what he's been up too lately. So good to see this.

i never really cared for him as a solo artist. i had 2 of his lrecords but they never really impressed me. he was all over the new wave thing in the early 80s but it always sounded slightly off to me. i loved his production work in the late 80's but i could never get that excited about him. it seemed to me that he just fell off the earth for a while- i really thought it was health issues. i'm glad i was wrong about that. this performance was fine but nothing special imo.
