Just interested to know the reasons....they seemed to have a good career post Prince so I see they have talent so why did he fire them from The Time? Anyone know what the circumstances were?!

The simple reason is that they had there own thing going. That would have gotten them kicked out of most bands. Jay-Z would have cut them loose. Lil Wayne and Baby would have cut ties. I think Prince made a mistake in firing them, but I can't say I blame him for feeling like it was for the best at the time. He sure did miss out on a lot of hit records though.
Not that's just too funny, and they're not even musicians
They would probably be waiting for Jam & Lewis, to complete a tune so they can steal, errrrr..sample it

They are 'computer musicians',lol, but the point about perceived disloyalty still applies. |

The only reason they were producing outside acts was because they couldn't wrte and produce for their won band. Time woulnt have broken up, hell they wouldn't have been in Atlanta, they'd be in the studio with the fellas. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Firing Jam and Lewis was a huge mistake. In retrospect,I bet Prince regrets doing it.He basically broke up one of his most successful protege bands.Morris and Jesse have both said that, without Jam and Lewis, the chemistry was gone. The band wasn't the same.
But it's all water under the bridge now.The original 7 members are back together |
