Did anyone here attend the Chosen Few House Music Picnic in Chicago on 7/9/11 this year? I was there and saw Robin Power take the stage as she has done in previous years. She was dancing and getting the crowd hyped when a security guard made her leave the stage abruptly.

Does anyone know why? I thought that was very uncool.

I was told by jessie saunders that i was not allowed dance as i do every year on stage at the chosen few picnic because i dress an dance 2 sexy HE SAID THAT THE PICNIC IS NOW A FAMILY EVENT!!! AND I WAS 2 SEXY 4 THE CHILDREN..LOL THATS OK... I LIKE TO ENTERTAIN ADULTS..I ALWAYS HAVE ALWAYS WILL thats funny he did not think that last year when he asked me to dance 4 his se...t wow so now im 2 sexy can u believe that shit MAYBE THEY HEARD ABOUT CHOCOLATETIGER LOL!!! All i know is that last year he asked me out WE USE TO DATE WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER and I said no TO HIM I TOLD HIM that I am waiting 4 my God givin King and then when i went to THE CHOSEN FEW PICNIC IN 2010 TO Dance i gave every DJ there My Cd/Music AND DVD and it was dedicated to KING KANYE WEST.....HUMMMM DID THAT PISS HIM OFF? I WONDER! THATS WHY I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO DANCE THIS YEAR! OR SO THATS WHAT HE SAID ANS WAYNE WILLAMS STOOD BY AND DID NOTHING! I THOUGHT THEY WERE MY FAMILY....I WAS WRONG!

I knew it I knew that Robin's "suggestive" dancing is the reason why they would ask her to leave the stage.

Hey Robin, thanks for responding. I thought you were far more entertaining than David Risque and I am a straight woman. I just thought your energy was intense and you were sexy but in a fun, playful way. I don't think it would have hurt any kids for you to be up there. However, what did they think about all the cussing Lisa Raye did when she yelled all over Frankie's final song? Was that family/kid friendly? Sounds hypocritical to me, especially when they were flaunting Mya in her tight white pants and referring to David as eye candy for the women as he ran around with his shirt off.

I had a great time at the CFP and Alan King and Frankie Knuckles were my favorite DJs. I don't care for Wayne or Jesse (who was one of the worst DJs of the day IMO). I just don't understand how they allowed you to make it all the way to the stage, set up your stuff, start dancing and then ask you to leave. That was crazy. Why didn't they say something before then?

My first time attending the Chosen Few. Great event and so much fun. Will be back every year until I die!!!
