Whatever he teaches her, hopefully it'll rub off on her. She seem like she could get far, who knows?

After watching some YouTube videos of hers, her playing isn't quite as bad as I expected, and her voice is decent, IMO. Also, listening to recent bootlegs, I find her contribution to Prince's shows to be pretty inoffensive and not worth getting hostile over.

I hope her acting as a muse (assuming) to Prince will inspire some good music from him.

2elijah I find you to be one of the most articulate orgers that I have come across and I truly appreciate your posts. One time you critisized one of my posts and it made me rethink what I had posted. You usually think about what your point of view is, all the way through, before posting and it shows.

Now, having said that, I am going to disagree with you here. I feel Ruby is right. There really isn't a great "hate" for Andy or Shelby for that matter. I only see an over abundance of negativity. If the title of this thread was "Why are people so negative about Andy Allo?" I would be a bit more comfortable.

Words like "hate" and "crazy" are often used by people who do not want to, or can't, think of an articulate rebuttle. 2elijah, you are way too articulate to need to use those words as crutches. The bolded part is worthy of being it's own thread: Which type of Prince are you and why?

She needs a musical instrument teacher. Professionals are out

there. I am sure Prince is teaching her what he knows. The

best situation for her would be remove herself from the pressure

of the performances and find a quiet productive learning

environment. I do think Prince cares about fans' opinions and

probably is aware of Andy's fan following. He has skillfully

sprinkled angle dust over her fans and followers to mask her

lack of professional abilities, probably feeling she will pick needed

skills.

However if IDA is lacking, then Andy may also not gain in

abiliy if she is just taught by Prince. For me, her singing and

stage presence are enough until she truly gains instrumental

ability. Then I would love to see her join the a'real music by

real musicians" club!!

These woman are the best because either.

1) decent musicians/singers and or played there part in the band fairly well

or

2) Could stand alone as an artist and are very entertaining

Mayte and Carmen are great performers and could shake a tail feather but the overly sexed up image is annoying.
