I'm curious about what kind of a marriage he had with her.
My understanding is that she wasn't allowed to call him during certain hours or disturb him in the studio, etc. This is odd, but I'm fascinated to see how this was even ....erm.... introduced to her as a lifestyle.
Also, the creepy interview with Oprah where Prince would shoot her shifty eyed nervous glances to see if she was saying the correct things always fascinated me. Here's a woman who had just lost her child smiling for the camera, when she must have been a wreck on the inside. Oprah even went 'there' by asking twice, the first time with Mayte who played along with Prince. It was tragic looking back, but creepy while it was happening.
I just think that entire relationship was fascinating. Here's a very young woman (18) who got to witness the 'old' Prince transition into the post-Larry Graham Prince before she finally bailed. I would love to get her unfiltered story on this.

That what I would want. Because asking one specific question would definitely lead to asking more. So, yeah, I'd ask her to tell me her unfiltered story about her Prince experience. Especially when dealing with the baby situation. Why didn't she go to him and say this is my baby, too!! Why didn't she seek professional help, prenatal care, etc. There's no way, regardless of how much in love I think I am with a man, that I would let him take the lead regarding my pregnancy!

Given that Mani and Mayte are on speaking terms there is a book in there somewhere needing to emerge. I do not know how observant and wise Mayte was. Even now, I can not gage her intelligence and ability to have insight at all. Mani seems a tad wiser in her words and I think that her half of the book, from 1998 to 2006 would be more telling. They both met his parents (I'm pretty sure) and may have gleemed some insight into the man/genius from them.
What I do see is that despite the fact that Prince could be emotionally abusive at times, they both are loyal to him and do not desire to push him under a bus the way the could have. Neither one seems resentful to him on their facebook page or in interviews. Yeah, I know he made them rich and put them on the map; Plenty of women marry money and after they divorce the man and get a large settlement they dog him to everyone for even more $$$$. The fact that none of his women have done this impresses me.

Doesn't he make all of his associates sign confidentiality agreement? If he does that with people he merely works with, I'm pretty sure that he'll have his potential mate sign one too. I'm sure that they've been approached about a book or two.
