I hate him (maybe hate is a bit harsh but it's just a term of phrase) becasue he irratates me, he has had an effect on Prince wether you can see it or not. His music is excellent I have admitted that. It is easy to admire him but difficult to like him.

If you like him then good for you, i am sure there are people who you dislike who I adore.

can i offer a fresh stance on the situation. I don't like Larry Graham because he's so corny/lame. It's like watching your dad play funk bass on stage with a guy you used to have respect for. i don't even want to know who the drummer is, the whole band is devoid of any real funk. Same goes for Larry Graham.

all of them are just pre packaged perfectly trained pieces of the 'clean funk' that you can show to your grandmother.

John Blackwood is a great drummer. he's unique. All the rest of his session musicians could be easily someone else. The Revolution had a least a bit of personality.


I'm not asking Prince to be the way he was. TRC is pretty good (if you take out the narative and ignore the lyrics).

You know what i'd like to see?

Prince with a 5 piece band do a world tour.

I don't know where you get the idea that I hate JW's, I don't any religion. All religion is good if it makes that person happy, all religion is bad if it causes people to be sad. Sly had reasons to be afraid of Mr.Graham. Sly just stopped showing up to gigs. And Larry would try to take over. If you look back into the garbage that went on around Sly you can almost predict what could happen to Prince if he doesn't watch his own back. Larry is not to be trusted.He will use anything to get what he wants. Even starting rumours to destroy someones career. Larry Graham was and is bad news some people never change. And with the lawyers that the JW's have protecting him he can get away with just about anything.

So when was Prince a JW in his youth? His mother was a Seventh Day Adventist and his father was Methodist. He played for the choir in a Methodist church. He has relatives that are JW's. But for you all he was never a JW. In fact I like to see them try to get him to touch a watchtower. He developed a phobia to the things. He would scream when he saw one. I used to put a stack of the in front of the door to keep him at home. He would not step over them. He could not change that much. Oh and another thing the anger is from people that know that they(JW) have used MJ and moved on to someone new.
Scientology does it all the time using celebs to spread their message. The point is they(JW's) are just doing what other religions do you all would not even be talking about them if it weren't for them attaching themsevles to him.The "Nation of Islam" has Muhammad Ali. Starting to sound like a team thing. Baptists who you got? People get emotional when they talk about religion. I'd like to see a picture of him waving a Watchtower. Then I'll be quiet.In the 70's in MPLS the two largest groups were Hare Krishna's and the JW's. Okay baby the orange toga thing is not happening.

but i don't 'hate' larry graham. for one thing i've only met him briefly and he was very nice, for another he is good on the bass.
