Once agian who brought this crap up? NO ONE here has said they made him. YOU did. So YOU are the one rehashing the whole f@cking W&L thing. This thread was about Lisa. Period. then those who are concerned that Prince's reputation get on here and act all offended that anyone mention anyone OTHER than Prince. You are just as bad and alike a freaking broken record. Why bother trolling in threads that you will become offended by even of they are not saying anything to offend you - until you make up a post to offend yourself?

You know this thread was bumping down on the forum. On track to leave the front page until laurarichardson breathed new life into it, even though she's sick of people bringing up Wendy and Lisa. It's like some sort of effed up self-fullfilling prophecy. That makes me giggle. giggle A lot. giggle gigglegiggle

exactly! perhaps we should randomy visit Prince forum topics and start pimping W&L or other associated artists there. lol.

Don't forget Wendy....it's Wendy & Lisa that make up the talent, one without the other wouldn't work IMO.

Respectfully, Lisa composes entire symphonies without Wendy's contribution.

If you, your friend, and this new chick in your band are sitting at home in your makeshift studio jamming and something she does ends up blossoming into something like "The Stick" then you know this bitch is not playing around!

Just Kidding! lol lol lol

I personally think they have a symbiotic relationship, they thrive off each other and that is what makes their music so damn good.

Well they haven't been romantic in quite some time and though they are lifelong friends... I think Lisa has and always will compose music by herself. In fact, she went into a discussion about that during the Prince.org interview w/ them both.

They do work together, obviously, but they definitely work apart.

I love watching the interplay between them in the .org chats they did, its cute.

I also think Wendy is probably more of the attitude in the band and the drive which makes them get stuff out - even if Lisa is more of the composer. They need each other.

I love Wendy's soul/attitude. Very bluesy, very cool. I had a huge crush on her when I was a wee boy.

Prince sounds great by his damn self. I liked his music before Lisa even got in the band, back in the Gayle Chapman days. So come on now, nobody "made" him.

True nobody "made" him, but a lot of contribution. Minneapolis made him, his daddy & family made him, those early pre-For U musicians made him, the early bands made him

But Lisa Coleman did bring something to Prince that helped take that For U Prince sound to another level

LISA let's Go get nasty!!!

I believe you. and I'm sure Lisa as a musician benefitted and grew as a musician working with Prince too. Unless you want to believe it was only a one way thing.

You're just using this situation as an opportunity to be catty. No one is taking anything away from your precious Prince.

I agree Prince is precious. wink and so is Lisa. Just wanted to reiterate that the benefits of working together was mutual. I would actually like gain more insight about it straight from Lisa's mouth on the early days if Prince would let her talk openly about it.
