I had seen pictures of Lisa's mother and Lisa's mother is a brunette white Chicana in other words unless she tell herself she is Mexican she could be mistaken as being Italian or Greek. Remember Chicana is not a race. So technically Lisa is mostly white that her race (maybe a bit of Indian off her mother side). Her ethnicity is German/Mexican and she said this herself on her twitter (or her Facebook page) awhile ago.
Overall its the same argument I had been seeing on here for many years with the Prince vs W/L battle out. At the end of the day Prince. Wendy and Lisa influenced each other. I never think of Prince as being GOd but at the same time Wendy and Lisa did not made Prince. He had success before they came along and still to this day since they left 25 years ago.
As for Wendy and Lisa they are talented. I do like a few songs off their albums but the rest of the songs I didnt care for and at times made me fall asleep. I like their music better with Prince and their film/tv scoring. JMO.

If she wasn't the best, she was 2nd best. Tied only by Dr. Fink. Why? Because Lisa and Dr. Fink wrote more material than any other bandmember beyond Prince, first of all. And secondly because they had more of their performances released on records than the rest of the Revolution. Bam.
Additionally, Lisa is a wonderful composer, a beautiful and majestic piano player, and she has sugary sweet vocals with just a hint of ennui. Her vocals on "Head" are classic Prince (later seen as u know on Irresistible Bitch and others). Without Lisa fucking Coleman, there is no Prince.
