Wendy And Lisa ~ Turn Me Inside Out

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

This is my favorite Wendy And Lisa song period. Thanks for reminding me how great Eroica truly was.

Their best album, hands down.

One of those albums that I find a new fav song every time I listen. I dig em all except maybe "Mother of Pearl".

Right now "Staring at the Sun" is the one!!! nod

However, out of all their albums its my LEAST favourite...its not funkay like their other albums

My order of preference for W&L:

1. Wendy and Lisa

2 Fruit At The Bottom

3. White Flags

4. Girl Bros

5. Eroica

I am not a big fan of the Eroica album, I find it slightly dull and dare I say dreary. I only like Don't try to tell me, that song still sounds fresh today, and I also prefer Lisa's singing voice. Their debut album rocks!

My order would be:

White Flags

Eroica

Wendy & Lisa

Girl Bros

Fruit at the Bottom

FATB is a great album but I like their moody stuff over their funky stuff.

Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

I like Wendy and Lisa's funkier material as well. Wendy is a capable singer, but I think Lisa's singing voice sounds so much cooler. Has a style that works well with the material. Her vocals blended well with Prince's back in the day.

I think "Eroica" is their best album...but "Fruit At The Bottom" has always been my favorite.

It's their most "Prince-like" album and in 89 I was still pissed that the Revolution was no more. I played FATB to death!!!!!

Looking back...it's not their best, but still my favorite.

Does that make sense?
