(6/16) Gett Off: Meshell Ndegeocello Covers Prince in DC!!! For One Night Only, Meshell Ndegeocello returns to the DC area as she dedicates an entire evening to covering the music of Prince with her full band. Meshell's concept for Gett Off came about during her 2009 Devil's Halo tour, when she saw the electricity of the crowd surge as she covered "Dirty Mind" and "I Want to Be Your Lover." After getting rave reviews in the West Coast, Gett Off: Meshell Ndegeocello Covers Prince hits the Mid-Atlantic region on Thursday, June 16 at The State Theatre, Falls Church, VA -- just outside of DC, located by the Orange Line Metro (East Falls Church). I caught this show in SF and it was fantastic! I can't recommend it enough. She re-worked songs we all love and the setlist was, well, a setlist we'd love to hear Prince play one of these days. | |

OMG I just saw this. I live right down from the State Theater. I'm so glad a Facebook friend posted about this, or I'd have had no clue. And thankfully - - tickets still available! Just picked up 2.
