both of the prince shows i went to the last few months had sheila in them. and i think it made the shows a lot more fun. i think she adds a lot to them.

I wonder if her availability or lack of availability for the summer is the reason? Maybe he asked her to join on the tour and she had prior commitments. I know he doesn't really understand that because he prefers to work without a contract and probably without a calendar as well.

Sheila and Prince have had falling outs before... even on this tour, so I am not thinking they are done. They'll work it out eventually. That is what they do!

At both shows I went to Sheila E. performed. The crowd went crazy both nights when she was on stage. I would say most people who were at those two shows certainly knew who she was.

Sheila might just want a rest from the road. Besides she wasn't with Prince for all the dates anyways.

And also, are we forgetting that Sheila had a career pre-Prince and post-Revolution? Plus as people said she released an album with members of her family so I'm thinking she's just moving on. Simple as that. Wish her the best.
