The Funk Brothers, the famed backing studio band from Motown Records' heyday, picked up two Grammys for best compilation soundtrack album and best traditional R&B vocal performance with Chaka Khan.

They'll follow that success up with a 17-date tour in the U.S. that begins on April 3 in Washington, D.C. with four accompanying singers, Joan Osborne, Mavis Staples, Maxi Priest and Morris Day (The Time).
