I have a copy of an album called What is RACE? by a group called RACE. It was released in 1983 on Ocean Front Records. Their management was te same as Prince's at the time: Cavallo, Ruffalo and Fargnoli. Someone named Jamie Shoop was the manager.

It sounds like the new wave album that Andre Cymone was trying to make with Livin in the New Wave. I wouldnt be hard to believe that they were from the Mpls scene that Prince started.

I have never heard of them and dont know where I got the CD-R from. I suspect they were just got the little independent release and never made it. Has anyone ever heard of them?

Yes, I have heard of them, the name that is, never heard anything by them , I alwats thought they were some funk group.
