Ok guys, it's obvious you know your stuff based on what you've said. If you are behind those sites then I respect that, a lot of effort and work has gone into them. Please tell me what sites you are behind? Any of you do DTT lyrics, love that site!
You must understand the mystery to me is why Prince wouldn't have made an album with Kim based on his track record. Also I'm sure that's Prince's voice sampled on Color of Sex.... Not many other artists use Prince sounding titles....the title 2Naughty has Prince written all over it.
But based on this I am willing to concede that you may be right, but please see that I think the above concerns were valid questions.

I'm only behind this one (which doesn't deal with unreleased material and is far from being finished): https://sites.google.com/...iscog/home
The others are being held by various people who did or did not choose to come on this forum (or others).
By all means, when people such as BorisFishPaw, Langebleu, Madhouseman, Scififilmnerd and a few others say something here, you can take for granted that their informations are documented and correct (or that they'll mention it if they're not sure about something). Same with Princevault.com and my own website.
Your doubts were legitimate but such things shouldn't happen anywmore. I remember 20 years ago, back when all that research hadn't been done yet: we had TONS of conversations about "did he do it or not", "is that Prince or not?"... Now time have changed and common sense is to FIRST check what the researchers found, and THEN to discuss things according to the factual data we possess.
And I won't fight again about Prince's voice being sampled on Color Of Sex since you already know what I (and others) think A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

There may not be any obvious reason why he wouldn't.... the fact still remains that he didn't.
As far as his voice.... it isn't. And as for the "Prince-esque" song titles, Prince sphere of influence was everywhere in pop music.
There's literally hundreds of songs from this time period that could be said to be "Prince-esque" in one way or another, whether musically, lyrically, or otherwise. Actually, a title like "2Naughty" strikes me as something that is borderline parody and far too obvious for Prince.
As has been pointed out, the songs share nothing in common with Prince's sound at that time. It's been a long time since I listened to those Kim songs, but I have enough knowledge as a musician and producer myself to where I'm sure I could tell you specifically what drum machines, synths etc are used on the tracks.......and those specific, identifiable pieces of equipment are nowhere to be found on anything Prince was doing at that time.
In fact, what I remember about the Kim songs is that the production was generic in that respect - overused, cliched stock sounds from the equipment used, something Prince, by-and-large, does not do, and especially not at that time where he pretty much tweaked, customised, filtered and modified the sounds he used to the point where much of it was unique to him.
And again, as has been mentioned, Prince's recording history is extensively documented in considerable detail - take for example, the track "I Am" - recorded during Prince & Kim's relationship in collaboration with David Z, with Kim actually present in the studio for the session (but observing, and not participating). What I'm saying is that evidence to that detail completely removes the possibility of Prince having a bunch of songs recorded with/for Kim that there is absolutely no evidence, written, anecdotal, or otherwise, for.
But that's all moot anyway because as Boris stated - the entire "Color Of Sex" project was recorded in late 1990 and early 1991 for Giant Records with Robert Brookins, Gordon Jones and Timmy Gatling.
Both Timmy and Robert were artists and songwriters who'd already released material of their own in the 80's, Robert had produced for Stephanie Mills amongst others, and Timmy was actually an original member of Guy with Teddy Riley and Aaron Hall, the three of them are on the front cover of the first Guy album, he sings lead on two of the songs and has writing credits on at least 5 of them. He left after the first album and was replaced with Aaron's brother, Damien, and that created the line-up that most R&B fans are familiar with, Teddy, Aaron, and Damien. So it isn't as if the people who are known to have produced/written Kim's songs are unknowns who could be a possible facade for some Prince involvement. That's not the case at all.
And for a nice little cherry on top of that cake, a reporter asked Prince directly, during his and Kim's relationship "Are you and Kim doing an album together?"- and he said No. Not that he would have said yes even if they were, but you know, just a fun fact on top

Perfect response.
Why bother with explanations when a 2-letter word will do?

A two letter word did not do, hence this long thread. Thankfully people with more knowledge to refute the claims such as databank and militant took the time to explain things properly.

Vitriol can be mean ( ) but he's reliable too, as well as Militant. Besides the aforementioned people, u can also trust BartVanHemelen and Squirelgrease with your life when it comes to factual things. Your stubborness goes far beyond ridiculous. You're getting lots of explanations and yet you keep thinking the same based on... well, nothing.
It's not lack of knowledge on my part, it's just that I wouldn't bother explaining anything to someone doesn't want to listen to more 'reasons' other that his personal hunches.

Yes well Vitriol....Databank and Militant have offered good explanations as far as I'm concerned and now I know their involvement in Prince websites etc it has convinced me they are likely to know what they are talking about in this area.
So they fact they bothered explaining actually worked in changing my mind...wheras just saying 'No' or 'I'm not going to bother' makes me think you didn't have valid arguments to back up your answer.

Kim Basinger is another washed up old hag.

I love Kim Basinger, but this is making me wake up my entire abode right now. My Parakeets have stopped eating and they're looking at me like.... 'cause their mommy is trippin'. I like when she goes "ehhHHHHAHHHeeehhh" with the vocalizing or whatever.
"The Color of Sex".... This is the kind of stuff they'd play in the mall back in the 90s when nobody was looking. Or, in one of those cheapo clothing stores with the panties in a bin. Good Lord. Well, she's not alone. She's not the first celeb to take a stab at singing and er uh....do that. In any case, I do like that Hollywood Affair cover.
