oh dear - a FRIEND not a BOYFRIEND ... my parents wouldn't have let me go if they didn't think it was ok ... when I finally went to my 1st Prince concert at age 16, they made me be accompanied as well ... why do I keep responding?

I remember going to my first Prince gig on the Controversy Tour and there wa a guy there wearing the complete outfit from the Dirty Mind album cover - trench coat, leg warmers, bikini drawers, with no shirt or pants and ass out - in the dead of winter - probably the dumbest fanatic Prince stuff I ever saw. I remember telling my friends that he was going to get his ass whipped as we went into the arena. Sure enough, after the show, we saw him trying to run in some boots with 5 inch heels as some thugs chased him through the parking lot while calling him some gay slurs.

At the Xenophobia celebration, I met a chick who told me that she had quit he job and moved across the country to Mpls so she could be discovered by Prince. SHe was trying to get her demo tape to him at Paisely Park.

On the One Nite Alone tour in LA, Prince did 2 concsecutive nights st the Kodak followed buy aftershows- one of which was down the street at the House of BLues. I saw 2 chicks - who had been in line since 7am that morning to get their pick of the NPG Music club seats at the first concert - leave the aftershow at HOB and go directly back to the Kodak and camp out on the sidewalk to be first in line for the second show the next day. They were going to sleep on the filthy Hollywood Walk of Fame sidewalk surrounded by some of the most disgusting forms of nocturnal life on the planet.

What is the dumbest - or should I say most extreme - thing that you have done for the sake of your Prince fandom??

I take it back ... This wasn't dumb but, wifey and I went to the South Carolina show, the last show in South Carolina and she lost her job before we went and now we're strapped for $, I loved the show but, we shouldn't have went ... But ... I loved the show ... LoL

My girlfriend & I went out to celebrate her birthday and ended up in a neighborhood bar in the caucasian area of town & ordered Purple Rains (drink). The people were doing Kareokee mainly Country/Western. In a discussion w/our server after our 3rd drink; we asked her if they had any soul music on the tunes. she came back to say. "well, there's Purple Rain, if that counts. I dared my friend to join me in singing. We figured we were safe cause those singing and other joining in wouldn't notice that we would be off key. Man, we had a blast. They played the song 3 times. We've been back 4 times, not to sing, but cause they make a mean Purple Rain and Nachos. GO Figure.

Safe to say it sucks, I just had to make sure.

When I first purchased Lotusflower I tossed her disc into the trash can outside of Target as I was leaving. That was before I even bothered to give it a chance so I figured I might as well.
